Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Description
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the wildest ride in the wilderness is inspired by Utah’s BryceCanyon. This roller coaster is actually a runaway mine train that will take you through the many tight curves of the canyon. Scenery on this attraction is very much part of the allure, with a bat cave, a waterfall, mine walls that look like they can collapse at any time and more. You will also ride through the mine town that is the setting for this attraction.
The queue for this attraction is all outside, but can’t be seen before you get in the line. Fortunately, this attraction does have posted wait times so you have an idea how long your wait will be before you enter. Also of note in this queue is a water fountain which is nice to have on a hot summer day.
Your wild ride through the wilderness is approximately 3/12 minutes.
