| Our last day in the parks I was so impressed with my family. We are usually not morning people, but this was the 5th consecutive time we were ready and at the parks for opening. We told the kids that we would hit up any rides they wanted to do again today, since we had pretty much done them all up to this point. We also said there was one show we wanted to watch and we would do our souvenier shopping today. First thing we did was Jungle Cruise, since I couldn't convince anyone to do Indy with me again. We then hit up Pirates twice in a row. We ended up going on it 6 times this trip. It's such a well done ride. Splash was open again and again we got wet...myself soaked. We dried off a bit while riding Winnie the Pooh twice as well. I had picked up FP for Big Thunder earlier, so we rode it again. On the way out, I picked up more FP for it, since the kids wanted to ride it later again. We went to The Golden Horseshoe stage to watch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. This is a show that noone knows about. It was pretty quiet in the theater. You should really check it out if you have the time. They put on a really good show. Funny and they can really play. We picked up some souveniers at this point and headed back to the hotel to drop them off and have some lunch. After we returned to DL, I went over to get some more FP for Big Thunder (leaving me with 8). We went over to Fantasyland, but it was totally mobbed. Peter Pan had broken down and every other line was busy, except for Pinocchio, so we did it again. Not sure why, it really isn't that good, ah well. Since my son hadn't made it into Jedi Training the other day, we decided to try again. This time he got picked! He was so happy. He got to fight Darth Maul and did pretty good. It's a real enjoyable experience, although some people seem to be a little intense at getting their kids into the show. A few had signs that said "This is my kids 4th time here, pick him!". Needless to say, the Force wasn't strong in them, so they didn't get picked. One of the few rides we didn't go on was Autopia, so we hit that up. I'm 6'5" and don't reccommed getting into those cars and letting your 4 year old daughter drive. My knees are still sore I think. We went on Star Tours for the last time. It was funny. I recall when I was here 11 years ago and we stood in line for over two hours to go on Star Tours. This trip, we never waited longer than 15 min. Better time of the year for sure. It was getting close to closing and we still wanted to do a bit more shopping, so we hit up a couple places as we made our way to our final ride for the trip.....Big Thunder of course. My wife didn't feel like doing it, so I took both kids on. As we had 8 FP, we got to ride back to back again. The last trip, we were put in the first car and the kids were so excited to be in it. It was a fitting end to an incredible holiday. For the final page of this trip report, click here: http://www.disneymouselinks.com/Forums/Topic72200-4-1.aspx

| | Rob - how did the kids like the Billy Hill show? Each trip I try to plan to watch it, but we always run out of time. Christmas - I am definitely going to try again! I am so happy for your son! He got to do the Jedi Training too, and I bet he was on cloud 9 after doing that! What a wonderful ending to an incredible trip! Our family is not made up of morning people either. When Alex doesn't have school he can easily sleep until 10 or 11 (of course he goes to be around 11 pm), Andy would sleep all day if given the chance, and me, oh, I used to work at 5am, but now - 9am is good for me! At Disneyland though, we always get up, and I am so amazed by that! I am only 5'5" and don't like Autopia, so I can certainly understand your pain! Mine isn't so much my knees as my ankle from the horribly placed gas pedal, and my back from the not soft at all seats. lol What a great trip, again, thanks for posting your report - I have enjoyed reading it!
