Hey!

Just got back about 3 days ago, and still living the high of a Disney adventure!  I thought I'd start this review, and add, as I get time.  Some notable things that happened while there:

1) No, I did not get "dreamed touched" by anyone did not live in the Mickey Suite   Ohh, well, maybe next time.

2) I DID see Mickey Mouse outside of his house, but alas it was in California Adventure Park, just coming out of his dressing room, and he was dressed up as Summer Mickey, if I remember.  He was escorting Minnie to her show.  Aww, how sweet!. My wife had the camera in the bathroom, and missed the whole thing!

3) I went with:  My wife, 37, two darling children, 6 and 1, and myself, 41.  I stayed at "Candlewood Suites," in Garden Grove.  Was not my first choice, this was a last minute reservation, first week of summer, and well, you do the math, nothing else was available at all at Disney site.  I think that's all Tink asked for right?

4) I would have to say I enjoyed California Adventure better than Disneyland.  It was a lot less crowed, rides lines shorter, and overall a better experience. Myfirst hours in Disneyland was our first day, we arrived at 10ish a.m., inside of Fantasyland, and it was literally hell getting used to the heat, and the crowds, we live in the SF Bay Area, and it's much cooler (usually)  But don't worry, I plenty enjoyed Disneyland park. More later.

5) Three days is not enough time.  I said the same thing back in 2004, when I went before. At least 3 days in Disneyland, and 1 or 2 in California Adventure.  5 days minimium is recomended.  Just to cover all your bases.

6) Is everyone super nice or what?  AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE IN BOTH PARKS!  And the customers are **** nice too.  I haven't seen so many smiles since I visited I don't know where.

7) May have spotted a co-worker, forgot about it, and then talked to him today, and found out he was there.  Wow!

8) Thinking about getting an annual passport (two visits and you save money.) I live in Northern California, so it's probably worth it.

More later, thanks for reading. I will be a little bit more long winded next post, so thanks in advance for reading. I'll try to keep it entertaining.

MC, yep that is exactly what I asked for, thanks so much!

I will probably move this to trip reports - lets see what happens.  If it is gone one day, that is where it is. lol

I’m so sorry.  Please link me to that board, and I’ll look for it there.  I’ll try to copy and paste this entry to that board, if I find it and you can delete.  I still have a deliciously long post to add, so stay tuned. Super busy at work today, so couldn’t sneak any “Mickey” time in.

lol MC - the place I am moving you to is the Disneyland Trip Reports section.  You don't have to cut and paste - I can just move it for you!

Well, some questions, before I forget. How do I link my photos, or add them.  Would love to show my angels enjoying Disneyland.  I have over 200 shots on my digital Sony.

I have to say, overall, preferred California Adventure. Maybe cuz I live near Santa Cruz, just prefer the "laid back" California feel of this park. Loved that Cool Mist area, where water misted on you, so awesome!  Cooled my whole family down.

Great food as I had remembered, loved the Pizza/Pasta/Salad Joint in Tommorow Land, keep forgetting the name.  My son loved the Buzz Lightyear ride, and we both LOVE videogames, so it was awesome for both of us, trying to get a high score.

Saw two older Mentally challenged men, who were "young minded."  Just seeing the joy in their eyes, when Mickey and Minnie both came and hugged them, and they acted just like little kids, made a lump in my throat, it was so special!  I'm getting misty eyed as I type this, and goose bumps, really makes you feel good to be American when you see that kind of thing, thought Ithink the feeling translates to tourists visiting our great amusement park too!

Disneyland really brings out the best in people.  I've never seen so much civility in people's actions. Everyone in a good mood.

Just sat down to watch the Aladdin show, in California's Adventure, and my daughter had an accident (had to change her!). Being the good daddy, got up, and carried her down from the highest seating.  The staff WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! I expected to be told I could not return in, if I left, not the case!  They gave me this green return card, and I snuck down, changed her in about 3 minutes, rushed up, just in time to see my favorite part, when the swords are drawn, and you hear that metal stinging sound effect! Love that part!

(Does anyone know where I can write to tell Disneyland what an awesome staff they have, would love to convey that message!)

Didn't get to see the Nemo, too crowded.

More later, my daughter is calling me.

MC - I love the mist things outside of soarin' too!

The Pizza place you are talking about is Redd Rockets Pizza Port.

I also love how the people at Disneyland are usually so nice, and yes, it is great to see all kinds of people there.

Okay - to contact Disneyland.  Go to www.disneyland.com and click on the guest services link.  There you can email them your thoughts - they will be VERY happy to hear it!

As for posting pics - send Goofy a private message and he can help you out!
