We just got back from Disneyland, and on our last day we got our Annual Passes.  We had decided on the Deluxe Annual pass, knowing that it would work well for us.

I also found out that you DO NOT have to pay for your pass at the ticket booths if you are upgrading a park hopper!  You can simply take your park hopper to the AP center to do the upgrade, and you pay there.

The only time you would have to go to the ticket booths is if you are purchasing an annual pass without upgrading from a ticket.

To upgrade was a very simple process and took only about 10 minutes to upgrade all 3 of us.  The back of the card has our picture and AP number, the front is the logo for the Year of a Million Dreams.  It is beautiful.

Thanks you guys.  I am so happy to know we can now go to Disneyland again and save close to $600.00 on our passes!  That makes planning the trip a little easier.

Hey there!

We got back late Saturday night... and guess what?  We got APs too!  We decided to get the Premium passes (it worked out better for my mom's schedule since she would have had to pay $30/day for 3 days that were blacked out during her trip with my sister in about a week).

I was surprised that the expiration date was a year from the first day of our trip, though.  We entered the park on Tues May 8th, but didn't convert our passes until Friday, May 11th.  I would have thought that the APs would have expired on May 11th 2008?  Anyway, I'm looking forward to more Disney this year too!

I am so envious of everyone going to Disneyland and getting AP's.  It's nice to hear about it and knowing that in October when I go I will be doing the same upgrade.

Yay Diane!  And you sprung for the Premium?  I thought about getting one premium for the discounts, but decided against it.  How awesome.

I can't wait to hear about your trip.

Jenn - isn't it exciting.  So many people going to Disneyland - you will have trip reports to read all the time!

Hi!

New to the forum. Just got back from Disneyland Tuesday the 4th. Just myself and my 10 year old son...Yep Mom rode all the rides - even California Screaming 3 times in a row Sunday morning! I hadn't been there in over 18 years...boy has it changed!

Anyway, I'm planning to go back December over Christmas and just saw the discussions on changing to AP from Park Hopper. Can that only be done on the Disneyland premises? Is it too late, or can I still do it by mail?

I'm guessing not, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I can't wait to go back! It was the best vacation in a long time...love being a kid again!

What a magical time at Disneyland!

Sandy - to trade in your park hoppers you have to either do it while still at Disneyland, or if you have a day left, and within 2 weeks, you can head to Disneyland to upgrade.

If you are going over Christmas, and then think you might be going again in the next year, you can upgrade then!

While we didn't get any deals, coupons, or gifts for upgrading, I am hearing now that if you buy Annual Passes online at the disneyland website, you get a 20% off coupon for shopping.

Welcome to the boards - I totally love your member name!
