| | We enjoyed the show a great deal overall. I personally enjoy much of the Bops' music (and actually would like to find out if there are sheet music available anywhere or if any musician dads out there have figured out the chord structures), but our VERY FAVORITE song is "My Ukelele" and they DIDN'T PERFORM IT! BOOO-HOOO! We STRONGLY suggest that they include that song in future performances!! Ok, so that basically was our only complaint. (Although I have to agree with GrandPa Bob about the Bus being a little cheesy) Bird is the Word was really done well with the Doodlebop Dancers bringing out these really cool props that were made of fabric on poles and sort of flapped and floated up in the air. Our son thought that was really cool. Another part of the act that was very cool and well done was a flag-twirling, very stylized version of the Pledge. We noticed that the Bops didn't wear their glittery costumes until the second half of the show...we don't really get why. But in any case the music was good, the Bops were quite lively, in fact I was amazed at Rooney's dance performance right before the end of the show, when they were all clearly a bit winded. Also Rooney's wireless mic went out and he had to use a hand-held microphone for several numbers, which he did without missing a beat, like a true performer. The First half of the performance was perhaps a bit sparse as far as the sets and stage decoration, and it was nice to have an intermission to relax a bit; the second half of the show definitely rocked and our son was thrilled. I have always been impressed with the performance abilities of Lisa, Chad and Jonathan, and seeing them live was really a lot of fun for all of us. I also posted this earlier, but we spotted Jonathan eating lunch in the rear of the Grove Theater, and when I called over asking for an autograph he was nice enough to do it. We also noticed that the theater had been set up so that parents and kids could move around quite freely, and that was a real blessing. Kudos to the production company for making that possible. |

| | I have to agree with you - these kids are wonderful, and so is the production company. They put on an amazing show that is even fun for the adults in the crowd. Glad to hear you had such a nice time!
