| | Monday, March 24 This day started off bad & it never got better. The ART was to start at 7am picking us up at the Motel 6. ***this is where the more info comes in*** We got up at 6am to be in line to catch the first bus. We had Morning Madness at ToonTown at 8am & wanted to be in line for the park early. We got in line at 6:50am. We were about the 3rd family out there. 7am comes..... no bus 7:15am comes.... no bus 7:30am comes..... no bus (by now people have made their way to the front of the line & basically cut in 7:45am comes....... no bus 8:00am comes....... no bus awwwwwwww a bus at 8:10 finally comes & since Motel 6 is the 3rd stop of 3 he has room for only 8 people. We should have been getting on, but the people who had come over & asked questions to other families just made themselves at home in the front of the line & they got on. 8:20am an empty bus finally picks us up. We probably easily had 50-75 people lined up across the motel. We got in, the driver kept cramming more & more & more of us in until their was no day light between them in standing room only quarters. We're off, but wait, we're turning the wrong way. We actually made a stop at another motel & were told by the driver he would not be moving the bus until we made room for about a dozen more people. Unbelievable that their motel stop couldn't wait for the next trip (they had been picked up regularly since 7am). We finally made it to Disneyland at 8:40am. Ok, we made it, shouldn't complain..........oh yeah, THEY MADE US MISS THE ONE DAY WE COULD DO THE MORNING MADNESS IN TOONTOWN!!!!!!! So here's my opinion on the transit system for the Good Neighbor Motels: UHHHUMMMM (clearing throat & jumping on soapbox): IF you like not knowing when & if you will get picked up......... use them IF you like being squeezed so tightly you can't see or breathe........ use them IF you like being dropped off on the backside of your motel because the driver is being lazy & doesn't want to circle the block............. use them IF you like holding your sleeping children, bags & stroller while standing in a moving vehicle desperately trying to maintain your balance as you're being bumped by the next person trying to do the same.......... by all means use them. We on the other hand will never, EVER stay at a motel where we have to rely on their buses. We will pay the extra money to stay at a motel across from the entrance. It will be money well spent. ****okay, stepping of soap box & moving on**** Inside the park the crowds were actually worse than Sunday. You couldn't get anywhere unless you were by yourself, young & very agile. You moved with the flow & god forbid you need to turn off to go a different way. Everytime we got in a line to see a character we'd make it near the front & the character would leave. Adaleah just didn't understand why.....hard to explain to a 2 yr old. We did make it down into ToonTown after the morning madness ended & the open public could go in, so we got there during a break of sorts. We were able to let the kids play & go thru the kid areas & have fun. We did finally get to see Mickey Mouse at his house....thank heavens.....the kids were going nuts not seeing him. We had lunch at the Rancho Del Zocala restaurant. Won't do that again. Lines for everything. Tacos/Burritos get in one line, Enchiladas get in a second line, salads/desserts get in a third line. By the time you get thru one line & stand for the next one, your food is getting cold. AFter you gather all your food, you then get in the drink line followed by the check out line. With 2 of us going in to get the food for 5 of us & it took almost 40 minutes. No one's food was warm & to be honest, I love mexican food.....we had heard great things about this restaurant.....but it was nasty tasting, greasy & somethings had no flavor at all. We took a break & went back to the motel for naps. The heat & crowds were taking its toll on us. We went back later in the day & only did fastpass rides again. Very disappointing the first 2 days of our trip & not sure we can handle 3 more like this. ***18 yr old made runs to DCA during afternoon & the Pixar Play Parade was cancelled again*** http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a312/laemee/Mike24057.jpg

| See, I just don't trust public transportation systems. We stayed at the Holiday Inn that was past HoJo's by a good 5 min (if not longer) and we opted to walk to and from the parks, with a 9 year old and a set of 6 year old twins. We did carry the twins back but I refused to cram onto the bus with them.
I'm sorry you day didn't go well!

| | Wow Laurie - I am sorry you had such an awful day. I wish I new if that was a normal experience for ART, or if it was a rare experience, because of Spring Break. Your luck was horrible with characters and I am a bit surprised. Usually the character manager will stop the line at a certain point and everyone in front gets to see the character. Another great pic too - thanks!
