| | My wife and myself just purchased into DVC on New Years. Another point is that you can use your points on the disney cruise line. I had a 7 night mexican rivera cruise booked for our family of 4 for this summer. It was over $6,000. Now we are planning in a few years to do a 4 night cruise then spend 3 or 4 nights at a Wdw resort with our points. - Robert |

| | Awesome Robert, and welcome to DML! So did you have to pay the 16,400 - or has the price since changed? Are you planning on cancelling the cruise you have booked or continuing with that and then cruising with your DVC points in a few year (sorry - I was confused - very sleepy). I must also apologize for not replying more quickly. It has been a very busy week and I simply missed your post. Be sure to pop into the Disneyland or WDW forums and let us know about your past vacations, upcoming vacations, or just to say hi! Leanne

| | we accutally canceled the cruise. After thinking about it a little longer, we wanted our son to be a little older. He's only 2. Yes we did purchase the 160 points at th $16,000 price range. - Robert |

| I would love to get into the DVC but right now we don't have the extra money. Hopefully soon though we'll be able to look into it.

| | Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that we used our first vacation points back in April at the Grand Califorinan. That hotel is great. We had a downtown disney view room. At first i was a little unsure about the noise coming from downtown disney, but with the patio door closed you could not hear a thing. Saturday evening we were able to see the electrical prade and the get back to the room to see the firework show from our balcony! Later Robert |

| | That is awesome! I had wondered how well you could see the Electric Parade from the rooms! Thanks for the update. Leanne

| | Thanks - not confusion on your part - it was on mine. Long day. lol It really is too bad they don't pipe the music for the fireworks onto the balconies at the Grand, isn't it!? I do love that hotel and am glad to hear you enjoyed it. It is easy to get back to watch the fireworks, that's for sure. When staying at the Paradise Pier, we would watch the Electric Parade, then hurry back to the hotel for fireworks and each time they would either start right before we got back, or as we got onto the balcony. It is a much longer walk! Leanne
