| | Just my luck... I was just in Tianjin, China, before I picked up my wife. Two Sunday's ago I went to the Olympic Soccer stadium in Tianjin (they don't play all the events in Beijing, especially events which have tournaments and take longer like soccer). So they have been playing some matches there. Anyways--- my colleagues who remained got to go to the USA vs. Netherlands match on Sunday in Tianjin (the 2-2 tie, where Netherlands scored in the 92 minute to tie it). They are planning on going back Tuesday night to go see the Germany women play (some of my colleagues are German). Bought the tickets off scalpers--- 3 tickets for the soccer match, about $120 total ($40 each).. But I have enjoyed being home with my wife, and being able to see the games on tv. Hoping that Chicago gets the games in 2016 (sounds like they have a real good shot), so maybe I can go to that Olympics. |

| Wow the tickets are going cheap. I hadn't heard anything about Chicago getting the Olympics, heck that is just a few hours north of me.

| | One of the ideas for the Beijing Olympics were to make tickets available to the people. In fact, one of the chinese workers in the Tianjin plant went to a woman's soccer match in which china played and only paid maybe $10 for a ticket. My colleagues supposedly went to the Germany woman's game (played Tuesday night in China, or Tuesday morning here at 5:00AM EDT). The 2016 Olympics haven't been decided yet, but the final four include Tokyo, Madrid, Chicago, and Rio De Janeiro. Some people believe because the Olympics are in Asia this year, and 2012 in London, that Tokyo and Madrid will not be favorites, and it should come down to Chicago or Rio De Janeiro. In 2009 they will make the decision who will have the Olympics for 2016 (and then give them 7 year to prepare). I'm hoping for Chicago too!! Anyways, back on Topic, wow... The 3 swimming races won by the US last night in WR times, along with the silver in the other race. Some very exciting television. If have to admit we were watching the mens gymnastics, but were also sleeping a little, but I'm happy to hear the US team won without the Hamm brothers! |

| Ok, I have a schedule now. I didn't miss all that I wanted to see! There are still some gymnastics and the trampoline left! Yay!

| Well lets all keep our fingers crossed for Chicago then. If Trey finds out we will have to go for the swimming events.
