Saturday, Sept 6^th

The alarm woke me up at 3:30am to start getting ready for our flight. I was telling Troy how it took Kyan forever to go to sleep last night. I mentioned I thought she finally went to sleep about midnight and how she kept asking me if it was time for the flight. At 3:31am she pops her head up and asks if it is finally time to go to Disney World. When I told her we would be leaving in an hour that she could sleep till then. She declined and instead preceded to get dressed and asking twenty questions about everything. At 3:39 Trey was up. So by 4am we were all up and dressed sitting around waiting till closer till 4:30 before preceding to the airport.

The hotel shuttle dropped us off after a quick 2 minute drive and we used curb side check-in for our luggage. We then headed off to security which was deserted so it allowed us to take our time going through the line. By 5am we was at the gate sitting around waiting till time to board the plane. Trey worked on some of his math homework while Kyan colored in her new coloring book.

We actually was able to leave about 10 minutes early. We had a pretty uneventful flight and the kids really enjoyed looking out the window. Kyan fell asleep after the first hour and woke up all excited when the plane landed. When we landed I realized I had forgot my sunglasses in the van back at Indy. So, I made a mental note to purchase sunglasses ASAP. We found the Magical Express very easily and walked right onto a bus. By 10:30 we were on our way to our hotel..everyone was so excited. At check-in everything went smoothly and they said our room was ready, Yea!

So, we decided to go venture off to our room. We start out walking to find the Rock Inn building #4. We was on the 2^nd floor and the back side of the building. It seemed to take forever to get to our room.

Once we unloaded our gear we decided to take off and go to the Magic Kingdom. By 12:30 we are inside the Magic Kingdom sitting on the train waiting to go to Frontierland. Once we get off there we walk onto the Big Thunder Mt. We grab fast passes for Splash Mt. & then go grab lunch at Pecos Bill. Troy had the BBQ meal with carrot cake, we got one kid’s meal of a burger and fries, and an order of chili cheese fries. Cost was $23.05 that we saved from the free dining plan offer.

After lunch we walked-on to Haunted Mansion, Mickey’s Phiharmagic, the Carousel, It’s a Small World. After those rides we was just melting from the sun so we purchased some frozen cokes. Troy, the silly one forgot to use our snack credits so it did cost us $9.56 While we were in line to get the cokes, Kyan decided to have a meltdown so I had to take her to have a little chat. After cooling down we fast passed Peter Pan and Big Thunder Mt. After that we grabbed a bottle of water and decided to call it a day and headed back to the hotel to rest. On the way back to our room during the long walk, Troy finally decided to call the front desk and request for us to be moved up to the Calypso building and that we would pay for the upgrade. They was able to move us the next morning to the Calypso building, floor 1, pool side. We was excited and it only cost us $11 more a day.

We swam at the hotel in the Little Mermaid pool till 6:30 and then we got cleaned up to head to the bus stop for our meal at Chef Mickey’s at 7:40. We get to the bus stop a little before 7pm. The bus for the Magic Kingdom did not show up till 7:25 and then it took an additional 10 minutes to load a person in a wheelchair. (This became the theme of the trip) We arrive at the bus stop at the Magic Kingdom at 8:00, 20 minutes late. We had called earlier and they told us they only hold the reservation for 20 minutes so I was fuming by the time we got to the MK. Troy & Trey decided to run over to the Contemporary and explain what happened. While I took Kyan and the stroller and ran to the monorail. Luckily we was able to get there quickly and the receptionist was very understanding and said it was okay and not a big deal. Thank heavens. The meal at Chef Mickey’s was great as usual. I had BBQ ribs, turkey, stuffing, homemade potatoes, salad , and rolls. Troy had the same but instead tried the prime rib instead of the turkey.

During the meal our waiter brought me out a placemat with the characters signatures and a candle with five candles. I was to light it with each character for a picture but I only done this with Donald. During this time Donald held my cupcake and then after the picture he fanned out my candle instead of allowing me to blow it out. It was so cute.

During dinner we was visited by Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, & Pluto. This meal was a hit as usual. Cost was $95.81 and it was free!

After dinner we decided to head back to the Magic Kingdom to use our fast pass for Splash Mt but the park was closing in 30 minutes. Luckily we made it to the line in time and was on our way back out of the park just as Wishes was ending. On the way back to the hotel both kids crashed. Trey was standing with Troy and some how when they got off the bus and was opening the stroller Trey’s finger got pinched in the hinge. It ripped the top layer of skin off and it was hanging from just the back. I wasn’t sure how deep the cut was and we couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. So Troy went in and spoke to the front desk and there is no nurse on duty but they suggested we call 9-1-1 and speak to them. Needless to say minutes after Troy explains what happens to the operator, the  paramedics are walking into the resort. I felt horrible because I had then gotten the skin to reattach and stop bleeding but we was unsure how deep the cut was. The paramedics assured us it was fine and that it was okay that we called and reassured me they have received other calls that was less important than this incident. After the paramedics left, the manager of the hotel approached us on our way out and reaffirmed to call the front desk if we need anything during the night. Once we made that mile walk back to our room, we climbed into bed and put the do not disturb sign out.
