| | Yes Sue - if I can cheat off you! lol!!! Leanne - where did you get the info on Carnation Cafe. I'm confused on that one because Oscar said he HAD worked there since opening day and the DL website says it's a DL original. These were unbelievably hard, I can't believe I didn't get a zero!!! |

| | Shawna - here is where the confusion is. Yes, Oscar has been there since opening day. Probably in that exact location. The problem is that it was not always Carnation Cafe. If I remember correctly, and yes, I can check this - I think it was named Nestle something or other. Leanne

| | On Yesterland.com, they have a quick little history on that. The area it is in now used to be the flower market. Check it out! Great website! Angie

| | Okay, I've got to check this out (not that I doubt Leanne, it's just my curiosity now...) So, something else was there before in that location. But Disneyland itself shows that Carnation Cafe as a Disneyland original. I had thought that the Nestle place was further up Main Street on the left side after all the buildings. I am so confused! Help me if you have any info, I can't research it until later tonight. |

| | Shawna - its okay to doubt me! I feel good about my source, and with the knowledge I had from before about Carnation Cafe, I have no doubt that this is what happened: Oscar is an original - and was head chef at a restaurant similar to Carnation Cafe. In 1997 when the restaurant was slightly moved, and the name changed, Oscar remained head Chef. But, I have also always been the first to tell you that I don't know everything!
