Yes Sue - if I can cheat off you!  lol!!!

Leanne - where did you get the info on Carnation Cafe.  I'm confused on that one because Oscar said he HAD worked there since opening day and the DL website says it's a DL original.

These were unbelievably hard, I can't believe I didn't get a zero!!!

Shawna - here is where the confusion is.  Yes, Oscar has been there since opening day.  Probably in that exact location.  The problem is that it was not always Carnation Cafe.  If I remember correctly, and yes, I can check this - I think it was named Nestle something or other.

On Yesterland.com, they have a quick little history on that. The area it is in now used to be the flower market. Check it out! Great website!

Okay, I've got to check this out (not that I doubt Leanne, it's just my curiosity now...)

So, something else was there before in that location.  But Disneyland itself shows that Carnation Cafe as a Disneyland original.  I had thought that the Nestle place was further up Main Street on the left side after all the buildings.  I am so confused!

Help me if you have any info, I can't research it until later tonight.

Shawna - its okay to doubt me!  I feel good about my source, and with the knowledge I had from before about Carnation Cafe, I have no doubt that this is what happened:

Oscar is an original - and was head chef at a restaurant similar to Carnation Cafe.

In  1997 when the restaurant was slightly moved, and the name changed, Oscar remained head Chef.

But, I have also always been the first to tell you that I don't know everything!
