| So I saw on my local news about Disney possibly re-releasing this movie...didn't get to see the whole segment though so don't really know what was said. I just think it's interesting that it was actually on the news.

| I heard about it.
there's a lot of people who want to see it re-released with a historical context, but there are others who wantto see it preserved as is...then there is the other contingent who want to see it stay in the vault FOREVER. me? I'm of the "release the sucker anyway you want" group. I just wanta Real, non Euro copy rather than the ebayed copy I've got now.

| | I actually just bought a copy of this movie - made from a european pal dvd. Alex loved it! And the one phrase that people keep talking about (tar baby) is not a bad thing at all. This is actually a scarecrow made of tar. I had not seen this for so long I had forgotten that. As for the rest of the movie - it depicts things as they were years ago. It is part of our history. I did not have a problem with this movie at all. It is a part of our history that we have to live with, and this movie does a good job depicting things. Yes, I want this movie released. I want to get a real copy, with updated sound. It is one of Disney's original movies and deserves to be seen by all for the quality, the story, and the music. Leanne
