| I have been hearing rumors of horrible waits for food at Disneyland. This mainly applies to counter service, with waits around 45 minutes on average. According to one source, this is party because of the wage Disney pays its food service employees, currently sticking with minimum wage, where other fast food places pay up to $3.00 per hour more. First, let me say that I don't see a problem with that, since Disney is at least paying minimum wage. I think maybe the thought process here is that this will bring in people who really want to work at Disneyland. I may or may not be correct, but in either case, there is a huge problem with lines for food. So, I want to start a tip topic for people who have been to Disneyland to give their tips. One I can think of right away is to eat at off peak times for shorter lines. Other tips would be appreciated, as DML message boards has a lot of people getting ready to go to Disneyland in the next few weeks. What do you suggest to combat the lines? Leanne

| My biggest suggestion here is to apply the eat at off peak hours. This really works and was even suggested when we checked in. I asked the hotel check in person what secrets I needed to know regarding Disneyland and this was her number one item. Several times we went to eat and had little to no wait at all. We did hit the McDonalds spot in CA at noon and I waited in line for 35 minutes for a happy meal..... Never again!!!! Also, If you want to eat in one of the sit down locations try making reservations before you go. We ate at the Blue Bayou and had reservations. Worked out perfect as there was no wait at all. People walking up at the same time were given spots up to three hours later.
