We decided to take advantage of early entry on Monday. We made it into the park by 8:20 which was no simple feat given that my mother is not an early riser. We headed straight for Fantasyland and right onto Dumbo. It was less than 10 minutes. At this point in time Jaden still likes Dumbo. We then went to the teacups. Let me just say this was my first time on them because I get motion sick and I wasn't too excited about this, but I was willing to do it for my children. Both of them loved it. Nate went with Tim and they spun like crazy. Jaden and I went on the purple cup. Everything had to be purple as this is his favorite color right now. I was very happy that he didn't want to spin and was content to just sit there. We then went back over to Dumbo while Tim and Nate got in line for Mr. Toad.
I mentioned in my previous post that Nate has autism. We weren't sure how he would react with all of the people and noise. For the most part he did terrific. Given that, Tim was extremely worried about Mr. Toad with all of the flashing lights, noise and darkness. He came through it like a champ. He even liked it.
By this time it was time for breakfast. We headed down to the Carnation Cafe. What a wonderfull breakfast. The boys even ate all of their eggs and most of the sausage. My dad was extremely happy with the food because he doesn't eat things like bagels or danish, most of what is available.
We then went to do Small World. Barely any wait for it. Jaden got in the boat and immediately started screaming. He cried through half of the ride. We should have known at this point that he was going to be afraid of all rides. By the way this is not the first amusement park he has been to. He had a great time at Great America last summer and loved the roller coasters.
Tim had gone to get fast passes for Pirates of the Carribean but came back and said the wait was only 10 minutes. I had promissed to get the boys new eye patches before the ride so we went to buy them. Everyone was happy at this point. We got in line for the ride and as soon as we got in, the hysterics started again. Stupid me held him through the ride instead of taking him off while I had the chance. I think that was the last straw for him. Nate also did not enjoy this ride and hid for most of it.
After this trauma we decided it would be good to go back to the hotel and rest. We all laid down and Tim took off to DCA to do Tower of Terror. He was the only one interested it doing it. He was able to get his fill while everyone else rested.
We wanted a decent meal for dinner so went in to Downtown Disney to Tortilla Joe's. This was very good even though they got my margarita flavor wrong. We were in and out and back to DL.
Back to Fantasyland for Jaden, Mom, Dad and I and back to Buzz for Tim and Nate. We had to wait quite a while for Dumbo but Jaden still wanted to do it. Halfway through the ride he wanted off and that was the last time we rode Dumbo. We also did Casey Jr. He seemed to be ok with that. By this time Nate and Tim were back and we did the teacups one more time before leaving for the day.
