First off, i'm the dad of a 21 month old boy, my wife and i went to the show in Canton, OH.

Secondly, i'm a skeptic by nature, and was even more of one after reading the "not so flattering" review above.

That said, the show is not great, but it's not a disappointment either, it's somewhere in the middle.

Little Einsteins were the most disappointing of the group, the picture posted above is accurate, the Rocket is pretty cool, about as good as you can expect, expecting a perfect replica is a little much.  The actor's outfits looked good, but the voices were not even close, and that's disappointing, because every other part of the show was accurate in terms of voices.

All in all, they were fine, but it seemed like the least amount of production value was put into their segment.

Darby, Tigger and Pooh drug on a little long for me.

Handy Manny was surprisingly good, he brought out a big tool box with little animatronic tools in it, very accurate...when they began singing, the stage got dark and the tools were bigger cutouts and glowed in the dark....very cute and easier to see from far away.

Manny and Mr Lopart, Mrs. Portillo, Kelly and others sang and danced like a Latin street party, it was really upbeat and fun, and probably the best part of the show other than the ending.

The Mickey came out to do the clubhouse, there WERE mouskatools and the Mousekadoer, they had a big screen on the stage that showed all of that.

Then Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy all came out and danced and sang.....and everyone else joined them for the finale.

I didnt see anyone disappointed or mumbling, or leaving at intermission.  This was for pre-K and under for sure.  My 21 month old loved it, he wasnt sure at first, but by the end, he was clapping and and totally into what was going on.

Hope this helps....ask any other questions, i'll try to help.

Tim,

Welcome to the DML message boards, and thanks so much for posting all of that information!  I am sure it will help others make the decision whether or not to buy the tickets.

If we went, the highlight would be Mickey and company, but it sounds like they didn't stay long.  About how long were they onstage?

Tink,
The whole show was about 90 minutes, and that included a 15 minute intermission.

So i'd guess each 'bit' was around 15 minutes long.  It seemed like Tigger & Pooh were on for nearly 20 minutes and the Einsteins were only on for 10, Handy Manny about that long as well.

I'd say Mickey's bit was in the 15-20 minute neighborhood.  The producers of this knew their audience and kept the action moving.

So the characters that are people are actual people dressed up and the characters are in costumes.  Is this correct?

Thanks for the input. I am still thinking I wish I would have saved the money from this purchase and instead went back to see the Doodlebops again.

Hopefully the kids will enjoy it.

Sounds like Tim's family enjoyed it, so have fun Kristi!

Also, from his description, it sounds like the Little Einsteins were the only real people that didn't look/sound much like the Characters.

Mickey and Minnie will all be in costume, so that will be a great ending.

The Einsteins, Darby and Handy Manny were the characters that were just people in outfits......all of their voices were "dubbed" in through the PA system...I think Darby and Manny were voiced by the people who actually do their voices on the TV show's, the Einsteins were clearly NOT the same voices, and that made it tougher for the kids to relate.

Again...not awesome, not terrible, somewhere in the middle.  Make it a good time for your kids and it will be money well spent.
