This is another long report

Day 3 Sunday

We started off our early morning by catching a bus early to the MK and then we took the monorail to the Polynesian resort for our breakfast at Ohana’s. We checked in at 8:05 had our picture taken and then was paged to be seated. Once seated we was served Pineapple bread and Sweet Rolls and some mixed juice. Kyan and I was the only one that liked the juice. Then we was served a fruit tray and the guy’s optional drinks. It was time for the first parade around the restaurant to the “Hawaiian Rollercoaster Song” Then our family style meal of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, potato wedges and Mickey waffles. The food was really good but the bacon was a little flimsy to me. I like mine crispy. We finished eating and then the characters started making their way to our tables. We saw Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. Kyan liked Lilo but not enough to give her a hug. When Stitch came she got under the table and hid. Mickey and Pluto was okay to her but not enough to be by herself. Trey loved it all. Then it was time for the parade again. We was at the restaurant a total of an hour. We also purchased the picture package for $31 but it was a great family picture. And I had talked to Troy about this before the trip that there will be plenty of video taping and plenty of photos taken and purchased. Life is to short and I want the memories for the kids.

Hopped the monorail to the MK and got there about 9:20. We arrived in time for the new Mickey show in front of the castle. There was singing and dancing from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald. The whole show was about dreams and Minnie’s was about being a princess. Then Snow White, Aurora, & Cinderella and their princes came out and sang and danced. Pan and Wendy and then Cpt Hook and Smee came out to fulfill Goofy’s dream of being a pirate. This was a really good show and it wasn’t crowded around the castle we was in the second row and could see fine. After the show we walked on to Snow White’s Ride and then did our fast passes for Peter Pan. Rode the carousel while Troy got fast passes for Pooh, Rode Small World and then Dumbo. The wait for Dumbo was the longest thirty minutes for a one minute and 20 sec ride. While I was in line with the kids Troy had got 2 fp for Splash and 2 for Big Thunder because we figured Kyan wasn’t tall enough. After Dumbo we rode Pooh and it was finally noon. So we went over to Splash and had Kyan measured and we was told she could ride. Completely blown away so the guy gave us Rider Swap tickets so we could all go on. After Splash we went over to Big Thunder and they told us she was too short. Don’t know how the height is the same. But she was okay with not riding because Daddy bought her nail polish and lip gloss. We then caught the train to the front and went back to the hotel for lunch and swim and nap. Got back up at 5 to head to our character dinner at Akershus.

When we arrived at Akershus we was seated within 5 minutes. Upon our arrival inside the restaurant they take your picture with Belle. But we opted to let our little “Snow White” have these taken by herself. We later bought these pictures too. Our waiter Ole was from Norway and was a little rude for my taste. He never brought us refills on our drinks until we asked and he bought Kyan the wrong drink. Never came back to get our empty salad plates and with autograph book, video camera, camera, 4 drinks, 4 salad plates, and then 4 entrée plates you run out of room quick. We was seated on the same side of the room with the door that the princesses enter from so within 20 minutes into our meal we had seen all the princesses. We saw Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, and Snow White. Kyan could hardly contain herself when she saw Snow White. After our entrees we was served a platter with 3 desserts. We was in the restaurant a total of an hour. I loved this experience Troy doesn’t want to go back. He didn’t care for the food. Oh I forgot to mention after dessert I gave Troy his anniversary present. He loved it and was so excited. I got him a tour around the World Showcase at Epcot on a Segway.

We rode Norway’s Maelstrom and Mexico’s Grand Fiesta Tour. We loved the new remodel of the Grand Fiesta Tour. Disney updated it with a them trying to find Donald Duck. At the end of the ride Donald is found but Donald is a little upset because he was about to be kissed by these Mexican girls. Very cute and a great upgrade to the ride.

When then went back to Magic Kingdom for evening magic hours. It was great we walked on to so many rides. Tonight Kyan was able to go on Splash Mt and Big Thunder. She loved them both and asked to go again. After our thrill rides I finally got to go on Haunted Mansion it would be the only time this trip because it closed for refurb later in the week. We finished riding the rest of the rides we missed this morning and ended our day around 12:30 in the morning.

Sounds like another great day Kristi!  I sure am glad you got to ride HM at least the one time!

That is weird that Kyan was too short for Big Thunder one time, but okay later.  Was she standing straight up and tall?

Yes, we went through the same thing 2 years ago with Trey. She was actually too short with her regular shoes on but I bought her sandals that had a wedge heel that gave her the extra inch she lacked. And we changed out her soes before the ride. So it could go either way. Luckily she was tall enough every time for Splash because she loved the ride. And it was finally nice to all be able to go on the ride together as a family and not child swap.
