| Day 3 – Sunday, June 10th Complaint about the hotel…there is a ballroom across the parking lot from us. A wedding was loudly going on till well after midnight. This was day one into Disneyland. We had a great day! Today was the press day for Finding Nemo. There were press people all over taking pictures and videos. We had glimpses of Mickey and Minnie doing different press related things. The majority of Tomorrowland was closed off to the public. There was a red carpet area for the Nemo ride but Guy didn’t want to wait and see what celebrities would show up. At noon they had a grand gala afternoon for press and celebrities. That area was all walled off so we don’t know what all happened. But we saw NO characters…anywhere! They must have all been at the grand gala event. It wasn’t too busy today. We rode Peter Pan, Dumbo (twice), King Arthur Carousel, Tea Cups, Small World, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion (while Guy and Joshua rode the train), Buzz Lightyear, Tiki Room, Space Mountain (Guy and Brittany), Star Tours (Guy and Brittany), Astro Orbiters (Mynde and Joshua), and Monsters Inc over at California Adventure. We ate at the Hungry Bear for lunch and at the pizza place in Tomorrowland for dinner. We watched the Parade of Dreams at 3:00. Joshua was VERY tired. We stopped and got a great spot on a bench and had Churros (cherries according to Joshua) before the parade. When the parade started (it was lead by a float with Tinker Bell on it) Joshua got very shy. Tink waved at him and he hid his head in my lap. He never moved again for 2 ½ hours! He was sound asleep just like that. So Guy and Brittany went and rode several rides while I sat with Joshua sound asleep face down in my lap! It gave me a nice break too. We left to check out CA Adventure for a little bit before the Electrical Parade. We sat and waited for that parade at 8:45. We were disappointed in that parade. The kids were all restless everywhere because of the time…and then they were 15 minutes late starting the parade. So by the time it started my nerves were shot. After the parade we rushed back over to Disneyland for fireworks only to discover they had been cancelled for the night. The only celebrity we saw today was Laura Dern. She was walking with her family, Cast Members, and her bodyguards. They were rushing through past our line for Pirates. Guy surprised me by recognizing her and knowing her name!! We arrived at the park at opening (8:00 am) and left at 9:30. All in all it was a great day. We had to drag Joshua onto a few rides (he didn’t like the inside rides at all at first). We were in line for Buzz Lightyear and he just wouldn’t move. We picked him up and carried him on kicking and screaming. We KNEW he’d enjoy it! Once we got on (and got past the giant Buzz Lightyear animatronic in line) he calmed down. Turned out he loved it and said it was his favorite ride. After that we didn’t have any problem getting him to try anything! He was a little apprehensive with several of them (like Pirates) but didn’t complain. He was very jumpy with all the animatronics on everything..when anything would swing or talk he’d jump a mile. Our lines today weren’t terribly long but wish they’d been shorter!!! Day 4 – Monday, June 11th Day two in the park. Today we rode Soaring over California and laceType>TowerlaceType> of laceName>TerrorlaceName> in California Adventure. We also saw Mater and Lighting McQueen. While we took turns riding laceType>TowerlaceType> of laceName>TerrorlaceName> we spotted Sulley, Snow White, and Stitch. We headed back to Disneyland and rode Indiana Jones, Dumbo (again), Casey Jr.s Train, King Arthur’s Carousel, Storybook Canal Boats, walked around Toon Town and then rode the Monorail to The Rainforest Café for dinner. We had lunch at the Billy Hill and the Hillbilly’s show. The Finding Nemo ride opened today and had a non stop 5 ½ hour wait!!! The line wove in and out all over the park! The park was CROWDED today!!! We were lucky to ride all we did! Rainforest Café took up a lot of time. We had reservations at 6:15. We arrived at 5:45 (on their instruction) and said it would be just a few minutes. At 6:35 Guy went to complain only to find out they had given our table to someone else. They immediately got us in but we were already annoyed. Then dinner took a long time. After dinner was over it was time to head back to Disneyland for the firework show. I was disappointed to be missing Fantasmic, but the fireworks well made up for it!!! They were awesome! They lasted well over 30 minutes. My only complaint was that they made us all stand up and crowd in like sardines. But the show made up for it!!! We got to the park at 10:00 a.m and left at 10:30 p.m. Over all today was crowded and we had to wait in line a long time for everything (Dumbo was the longest!!!). I loved laceType>TowerlaceType> of laceName>TerrorlaceName> and Guy loved Soarin over California. Brittany had a good time but is complaining that there aren’t more thrill rides. We didn’t spend a lot of time in California Adventure (which is geared for the teenagers) because there wasn’t much for Joshua to do (he didn’t want anything to do with the laceName>BugslaceName> laceType>LandlaceType> area). | | Sounds like 2 more great days. Amazing the lines for Nemo. I can't believe people actually waited in line that long! Isn't it fun to see a famous person at Disneyland? We have only done that on one occasion. Congrats! What did you all think of Soarin'? I totally love that ride. Leanne

| I loved Soarin. The first time we didn't smell anything. The second time we did! Our seats must have been broken. The third row isn't very good. You can really see the people in front of you and the edges of the screen...so it takes away that flying feeling a bit. But the first two rows are great! I couldn't help but hold on when we "took off". I know we weren't actually up very high, but it's just reflexes! I loved Tower of Terror too. I wish it had been longer though. I was expecting it to be more...um...ghostly I guess...but I loved it all the same!

| | My favorite thing about Tower of Terror is the feeling of weighlessness while on the ride. Good thing for seat belts! Glad you enjoyed Soarin. I do love that ride. So does Alex. Leanne
