| | Finally saw the movie last night with my wife (kids are at their grandparents). HATED it. I knew they had to cut out a lot of the book (longest book in the shortest movie) but it just wasn't good at all. Choppy editting, totally boring middle part of the film, too many people introduced and then ignored. Major plot lines just not explained. I agree with other reviews I read that they should have either made it a really long movie (like each of the Lord of the Rings) or just split it into two movies. Ron was barely in it, Hermione about the same. Ugg.....

| | I figured that would happen with the movie since the book is so long. I will wait until it comes out on DVD and then buy it to watch. I will buy it because we have the others. What plot lines did they completely skip, just out of curiousity. Leanne

| | Stuff they skipped (kept it safe for those who didn't want spoilers). I know they had to leave some out, but I would have liked to see a longer movie with at least some of this in. - Neither showing Neville's parents in St. Mungo's (the hospital) nor failing to mention Neville's involvement in the prophecy - absolutely nothing to do with Quidditch and Ron's attempts to be a keeper. I wanted to hear "Weasley is our King" song - totally left out Firenze teaching at school and I was looking forward to seeing his classroom - Ron and Hermione as prefects - Dobby was totally missing, Kreacher was there, but only a bit - Sirius's mom's screaming portrait - Rita Skeeter's interview with Harry - nothing shown about the giants, although Grawp has a small part. Never does say "Hermy", which I loved in the book - nothing about Percy joining the ministry

| As per my PM, highlight my post to see the spoilers Wasn't sure if there is a place to put spoiler tags, so I just changed the font color to match the background. It's all there.

| | Oh, and the most important things they left out (according to your list) are the last one - very important for future books - I am shocked JKR let them leave it out. The second item on your list is also important for the future. If people have not read the books, following the next movie could be tough. Leanne
