During our December 5-10 2007 trip to Disneyland we upgraded to Annual Passes! We are going back this weekend (Jan 4-6 2008) as we had a great coupon from Expedia and wanted to use it before it expired.   Putting the AP's to quick use!

Anyway, I tried searching these forums and browsing around on the Disneyland (including AP area) website but couldn't find an answer to this question: Do the Annual Passes have access to Early Entry?

Does anyone know?  We aren't staying at a Disney Hotel this trip otherwise I know being a guest of their hotels grants Early Entry every day it is offered (thanks to several threads here on the forums).

Thanks!

Welcome to the DML message boards!

Congrats on the AP's - they have been so great for us that I know you will enjoy them.

Now - answer your question.

No - you do not get early entry with an AP.  The only way you can get early entry with an AP is by staying at one of the three Disney-owned hotels.  That is one reason we have stayed at the Paradise Pier for our last two trips.

Our next trip we are staying at a good neighbor hotel and will not have early entry.

With the days of your trip though, it should not be an issue.  Crowds are generally light, and you are only missing one day of early entry.  My tip for that day will follow.

Saturday January 5th.  People with 3 day parkhoppers and up, as well as those staying at a Disney Hotel WILL have early entry.

For you I recommend that you arrive at opening, and head directly to Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square or Critter Country.  Save Fantasyland and Toontown for your other days.  They will be crowded at opening because of early entry.

I hope this helps!

Again, welcome to the DML message boards.

Leanne

Thanks! My wife and I have been lurking in these forums for months and have found the information very useful.   Finally got around to creating an account as I think we'll be going often enough to contribute.
