| | Well, the season started off with a bang. As usual, I looked forward to last nights episode since I first heard it was going to be on, and I was not disappointed. A few thoughts (comments) from last night: The girl who is the nanny - the last one to sing. She mentioned she doesn't have any friends. Andy replied that its no wonder she doesn't have friends, and I had to laugh. So was he commenting on her perfect body, her talent, her personality. Or was he commenting on the fact that she has never seen an R movie, smoked or done drugs or drank. lol Those twins are totally adorable. Where on earth was her husband when she auditioned? Tempest (was that her name?) - I thought she looked to be about 40. I am not a think person, but I have to say if I weighed as much as her 'sick' mom did, I would not be able to breath either! But I do think that was the nicest Simon and company have ever been to someone they didn't send to Hollywood. The girl who was the daughter with Rett's syndrome. What a wonderful, supportive family she has. I am glad she made it through to the next round, and hope she does well. The horse girl - can't remember her name, but with her voice and her looks - she just might have what it takes to go all the way. The man who shaved his chest hair - I really can't believe they put him on television. That was exactly what he wanted, and he got it. The girl who didn't make it, and was very upset with Simon. You know, the blond who went on, and on, and on.... The man who sang the song he wrote for Paula. The minute he sang that he was a stalker they should have stopped him and taken him from the room. That was freaky. The young man they showed that sang in Spanish - great voice! The man who lost 204 pounds - okay voice. Okay - that is my .02 from last nights show. What do all of you think? | | Watching from texas now... Cracking up at "If you asked me too"... Some questionable talent let through tonight (Geeky kid)... As for Philly auditions... The "sparkle girl" that did Grace Slick, I thought had a good voice for that kind of singing. The guy who is the tour guide, that sang the "let my people go" song... Weird... The stalker, and that older guy who wanted to sing about no sex... Just bizarre... |

| | The sparkle girl that went off on Idol was totally uncalled for in Philly. Truth be told, they paid her a compliment, saying she could sing well in a 60s cover band. I don't know why she flipped out. Tempest--- ok, I felt sorry for the girl, but I think the editors had let it go too far with her story. I understand that girl just has such a difficult life, caring for her mom must be a full time job. But I'm glad that everyone did make her feel better, as it was difficult to see her crying. |

| Okay, just jumping in (didn't read anything) to let ya'll know I'll be back! We DVR'ed the show as we had plans last night and tonight. I'll be caught up probably tomorrow though and throw in my 2 cents!

| | Yeah, the guy who has never kissed a girl - who does he think will marry him without kissing him first? That poor kid. What on earth did his dad do to him. The girl in the car accident. She is going to Hollywood because of her personality. Her voice wasn't that bad, but she is infectiously happy. I am guessing she will be gone before they get to the top 24. Meth girl - now THAT is a great girl. I have never heard of someone addicted to meth getting out of it, and I wish her the best. She has a great voice and deserves a second chance. The girl who could mimic others - wow, she blew me away. I used to mimic other singers when I was younger, and I know how hard that is to do. I expect her to go far this season. Cowboy man - reminds me of Carrie and her past. Should be interesting to see how he evolves. Geek boy reminded me of Clay Aiken - good voice, lets see how they transform his look. Guy-liner - what a freaky look he has on his face when singing. Weird. Bird Man - that was a great way to end the show. I found that 10 minutes very enjoyable, and obviously the judges enjoyed it as well. And Simon may have been prophetic in saying it will probably become a hit record. Good possibility. lol Weird boy that had to be escorted out. Hmmmm, maybe he should quit reading Christina - it has obviously ruined his voice  . I can't believe we have to wait a whole week to see more. With all the other shows starting reruns due to the writers strike, I could take 5 nights a week of AI. Leanne

| Okay, we finished the first night, but haven't gotten to the second night yet......but I can't wait after reading what ya'll wrote! (Yep, I cheated! LOL)

| | Yeah, the fingernail guy has to stop that. I've never heard of that. Maybe be some form of OCD.. You are right Leanne, you don't typically don't hear of anyone getting off meth. I learned that it's a huge problem in the midwest, accounting for 90% of drug cases, particularily in Oklahoma. Was that woman from Oklahoma? All the power to her!! |
