Ok I missed the first two episodes. But I should be back on track next week.

Meth is a big problem in Illinois. I actually had an aunt on it about 10 years  but she has been clean since and she went through rehab. It is so sad to hear all the horror stories with it but every once in a while you get that success story.

Yep meth is a huge problem. Sadly my cousin's dad had a meth lab in their garage and it caught on fire and she came home from school to a burning down house and her dad being arrested. When we went up to Pigeon Forge one time we drove by the police station and they have a hummer looking thing that specifically says something about it being a meth lab buster. I'm guessing that it's a problem here too if there's vehicles specifically set aside for finding and busting meth labs.

I think meth is a huge problem anywhere.  I am happy I don't know anyone on that awful drug.  But for those who get off it, more power to them!

And Kristi - yep, don't forget AI this week.  So far it has been funny and good.

Okay, last nights Idol.

Wasn't as memorable of the first two.  In fact, less than 24 hours later I can only remember three people.

The two girls that love Simon - that was kind of cute, and I must say I didn't expect that girl to able to sing, but she did well.

The girl who compared herself to Whitney.  Whenever I hear that I worry.  She always laughed at Idol rejects.  Well, now she is one and is quite embarrased. lol

Finally, the 16 year old boy with the vocal cord paralysis.  He sure sounds hoarse when he talks, but he has an amazing singing voice.  Good decision regarding the surgery!

What do you all think?

I agree with what you said. I also think the single dad's story stuck out in my mind. Also the fan guy. Did you see those fingernails? YUCK

Yes, those fingernails really bothered me.  As a woman I don't even wear mine that long!

Okay, last nights episode.

A few comments - not on who made it, but who didn't.

The air force pilot - I really think they should have sent her to Hollywood.  She has some great pipes!  I have to wonder if they didn't put her through was because she IS in the Air Force and they thought Idol may interfere with her work?

Oliver - the new dad.  He also did well, except for the vibrato - which was horrible.  No biggie, he can sing songs where that is not required.  Again, I have to wonder (and since my DVR cut off and I missed the end, I may be way off base) if they didn't send him because his baby was less than 24 hours old, and they knew he would be needed at home.

That's my .02 for last night.

OMG!!! Guess what! One of the guys that made it last night (they didn't show him sing though) is my bosses' friend's cousin and she knows him! She really hopes he does well, his name is....Taylor (maybe Tyler) Davis I think. I'll let ya'll know for sure later. How cool is that though?! I haven't been this close to someone who has even tried out, much less made it to Hollywood!

That is cool Danette - you will have to let us know if he makes it past the Hollywood cuts!  We can all watch for him!

Maybe I missed it on last night's but I thought on Tuesday preview for Wed. It showed Simon holding a puppy saying he wanted the girl's dog and she said "You can have anything you want if you put me through to Hollywood" Did that air and I just missed it?

I don't have much to say except the lady named Aretha, wow
