Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if you all could help me out. I live in the SF Bay Area (Fremont, to be exact) and am having a hard time finding any of the Disney/Mickey Mouse shaped foods (i.e. pasta noodle, raviolis). My FoodMax carries the pizzas and I have seen the burgers at Safeway, but that's it. I cannot seem to find anything else. Does anyone out there know where I could find any Disney/Mickey foods here in my area? I need to find these items because I am planning a Disney themed dinner the night before we leave on our trip. The kids don't even know we're going, and so I am going to give them clues/hints about it. Dinner being the most obvious of clues. Also, I have a mickey mouse shaped cookie cutter and have made sandwiches & tortilla chips from it, but any other suggestions would be great. I don't necessarily need Mickey Mouse to be the total theme. Pretty much anything Disney would be great. I have also seen the Cars shaped Spaghetti-Os, which I may use also. My last resort would be to call Deliverears and get the Mickeyroni and cheese sent to me. We'll see. Thanks for all your help in this. I can't wait to hear what suggestions you all might have.

We have the Mickey raviolis at Target here.  They are located with the Kids Cuisines in the frozen section.

At Party America (or probably any party supply store) they have all kinds of different Disney theme things like plates, napkins and even the little glittery sequins confetti type things.  They have Nemo, Princesses, Mickey and Minnie (but I think that's for 1st b-day), Incredibles, Cars etc etc etc.  It might be fun to have those confetti things scattered on the table at dinnertime.

Are you in California? I'll have to check my Target. I never really shop for frozen goods there, so I hadn't thought to check there. I checked WalMart, but came up w/nothing. I hadn't thought to do the confetti on the table thing. And a tablecloth...sounds fun, too! Thanks for your help!

No, I'm in Colorado but I would think Target is pretty standard?!  I only happened on the ravioli by chance (my DS was begging for a Kid Cuisine for some odd reason that day?!).

Hey everyone...

I just wanted to give you all an update on this. Our surprise dinner is tomorrow night and I wanted to tell you all what we are having.

We will serve Mickey shaped burgers, Mickeyroni and cheese, Mickey pizzas, Mickey shaped potato cakes, and green beans. I figured we needed some kind of vegetable to balance out all those carbs! For dessert, we'll have Mickey shaped brownies w/ice cream and hot fudge.

My best friend just went to Disneyland 2 weeks ago and picked up some empty cups, napkins, park maps for placemats, and a couple other items to accessorize the table. I will also use the kids ears w/their names on them as their placecards and decoration.

I am so excited to see their reaction! I can't wait! Only 2 days left 'til we go!!! Yay!!!!

Thanks for reading.

Angie

Angie, that is so awesome!  The kids will be so excited!  And if they can't figure out where they are going after that meal...well....I guess you will just have to tell them.

I can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!

Only 2 days to go now.

Angie, that sounds great!!!  I'm going to use some of your ideas!  My kids know we are going but I thought I'd do a whole going away dinner for us.  I bet the kids go nuts!!!! Have a wonderful trip!!!

Thanks! I can't wait to see their reaction! My 3 year old will be excited at the moment, but I'm pretty sure he'll be clueless until we actually get to the park.

I will post a trip report when I come back, and I will include their reaction to the dinner.

Esmerelda, good luck w/your dinner. I hope it all turns out great for you. Let us know how it goes!
