Chiekezie was probably the best person to go home.  Although not lacking in talent, he shouldn't do the love songs.  He is out of his element with those.  I think he will probably struggle if he goes to the record industry, but perhaps he can still have a chance to do some other things (like Broadway).  This was his second shot at the big time, making it to the round of 44 last year on IDOL, so we will see.  Just like they said, he picked the wrong song, and people picked up on that.  He has smooth vocals, but probably not dynamic vocals like the others, so his style didn't play with everyone.  Ironically I think that would have made him better suited to sing the slow songs, but those were his worst performances!!

Ramiele must have a huge voting public behind her.

Syeshya probably doesn't that much of a fan base behind her, but I thought Jason did.  I was surprised he was there (unless they were just using him to show that anyone can go).

Yeah, Ramiele must have all of Puerto Rico voting for her!  I really don't understand how she can still be there, not even in the bottom 3 when better singers are in danger of leaving.

I hope Ezie does well - he has a wonderful personality, and he can sing - just not the slow songs. lol

well I am not sure what happened when we was on vacation but the first night didn't get recorded I got to see the vote off.

I would have loved to have heard Michael Johns and David Cook though.

Wow, what a night!

I have to say, I did not agree with Simon on a few of the singers tonight.  And a few of those singers flat out gave me chills, and one brought tears to my eyes.

So here goes: (my favorites)

Jason - I absolutely loved this!  Simon hated it, but I thought he did really well and showed so much emotion.

Syesha - She not only gave me chills, but also brought tears to my eyes.  Her voice is very much on par with Whitney and while Simon disagreed, I thought she sounded beautiful!

Kristy Lee - another one that totally gave me chills.  I have said it before and I will say it again - she needs to be singing country every single week.

David A - absolutely incredible.  This young man has definitely got what it takes to be a star.

The ones I thought did okay:

David C - not my favorite this week, but he did okay

Brooke - I love this girl, and thought she did okay, but there were a few pitch issues

Michael - I thought he did okay, but not as good as usual

My bottom 2 (because I seriously can't pick a 3rd this week):

Carly - did not like hers at all and Simon did agree with me here

Ramiele - I simply do not like her, and how many times has she worn that outfit?  I only mention that because it bunches up on her belly - is she trying to hide something?  I really hope she goes home this week.

Tink, your comments about Ramiele just crack me up.  You know, when she was first on stage, they did a very weird angle on her (looking up at her).   And they kept getting closer.  I was laughing because I thought the camera was going to aim right up her skirt...  Her performance seemed way off (at times you couldn't even hear what she was saying), but again, for some reason they keep her around.

Not knowing so many Dolly Parton songs, I really couldn't tell how the people did.  I didn't like Jason's song though.  I did recognize the song Brooke sang (Jolene?), and actually though she did a good job.  Syesha did a nice job too with I will always love you.

Maybe performances seemed similar, but if ones stuck out, it would probably be David A's and Michaels for me.

Bottom 3, I would have to put Jason there, Syeshya there (only because I'm not sure about her fan support), and maybe Carly again.  Neither of those 3 deserve to go home, (it should be Ramiele, IMHO), but I think Ramiele has some big support, possibly from the Philippines?  I was laughing because they made a comment like it was a cruise ship performance, but if you have ever taken a cruise, you will see many of the workers from the Phillipines (many large cruise ship companies recruit from the Phillipines!!)

Check this out.  A video released by Carly under her old record contract in 2000.  She was known as Carly Hennessy then.

Yeah, can you tell I don't like Ramiele? lol

Jason - I love the song he did and he really seemed to 'get it' and showed emotion.  David A did the same type of song (both mentioned Jesus and the need for help) and he too showed emotion.

Being someone who loves Country music, but not particularly Dolly, I am familiar with most of the songs sung last night.

I talked to a friend this morning who loves the show.

She has never liked Kristy, or Ramiele.  She thought both Carly and Michael did great last night, but I thought both were mediocre. lol

I checked vftw and they had Kristy again - not sure why - I didn't read it.  I think they pick one person and keep that one, good or bad until they are off the show. lol

Now - aren't you only allowed to vote if you are in America - the 50 states?  How big can a Phillipino community here actually be?  So who IS voting for Ramiele?

Just in case none of you have heard, David Cook was taken to the hospital last night after his performance.  He was having heart palpitations, and they found it was related to high blook pressure.

He is doing fine.

Okay, I haven't read anything about this week's show as I am currently watching it so here are my thoughts (as I watch):

I like Brooke, always have, always will. But I felt like she didn't really connect with the song, she kinda laughed at it. Now I will buy album when it's released (you know she'll have one! Of course I have yet to get Kelly Clarkson's, Chris Daughtry's, Carrie Underwood's, or even Blake's.)

David C - OMG!! I love him! He'd better be the winner this year!! (Keep in mind that I am writing this as I watch so may change my mind later if someone else is awesome)

Ramilee, okay I liked her in the beginning but would not be surprised if she went home. She just needs to do as well as she did during try outs.

Jason, I liked him as usual, but don't think he should be singing country. It's not his cup of tea.

Carly, wow! She did great, I really like her as well. On a side note (no pun intended ) there are more contestants that I really, really like this season as opposed to prior seasons.

David A I like him but he always seems to sing the same type of songs. But he is awesome. I don't agree with Randy about him being the best performance of the night though. (I'm biased towards David C)

Kristi Lee needs to sing country. She was really good and the performance she gave was why I liked her in the first place.

Syesha, I love, love, love that song, but not so much the Whitney Houston version. I liked what she did with it, except that last looooooooooooooooooove. I'm glad she didn't go the Whitney Houston route and toned it down, except of the course the last part.

Okay I had to go back and edit this because I forgot Michael. My bad....Anyways, eh, could go either way with him. Jake didn't care for all the "wrong" at the end. But yeah, I forgot him so what does that tell you?

Okay, going back to read what ya'll wrote.
