So I am not the only one whose jaw dropped last night?  When they showed Paula I knew I had to be looking just like that.  I was totally shocked with those results!

I will miss Michael, but I do see a trend.

First Ramiele, then Micheal - both non American's.  Is Carly next then?

Good point Tink.  Yes, I think you are right, it could be Carly's time next.  This will get rid of the any controversy if the AI is not from America.

Paula did look shocked last night, as was Carly for that matter.  Michael even had tears in his eyes.  Was it me, or did Paula really enjoy his final performance, like turning around dancing when Michael was playing to the crowd on the stage behind the judges.  I don't know why the thought crossed my mind, but I was waiting for Paula to go up and give him a kiss or something...

I noticed that too Kevin!  I think she has a little crush on him.  But I also enjoyed the final song.  He did it so well, and he has a great voice.  I have no doubt he will do well in the music industry.  It is just sad that he is gone before some of the others who should be gone.

While I liked him in the beginning I didn't really care for him as time went on. Ramiele was born here though, just her parents weren't, I thought. Anyways, I'm just surprised that Kristi wasn't in the bottom (this is the first week for her isn't it?) and that she didn't make a smart remark. I still want David C to win.

I read a little something in my People's magazine about David C being a copycat and not actually giving credit for the way he is preforming the songs. I will have to find the exact article for more details. Has anyone else heard this?

No, haven't heard that. If you can find it online send me the link, I'd like to read it.

David C's version of Billy Jean was not original, as was praised by the judges.  Originally the song Billy Jean was done in the rock style by Chris Cornell on an album in 2007.  Supposedly, when Ryan Seacrest said so this in the introductions for David Cook, but the judges praised David Cook for his originality.  I think the copycat thing was just something blown out of proportion.  The fact of the matter is all the artists are somewhat copycats, as they try to emulate a particular version of the song.

The other thing about that night (this was the night the contestants were supposed to sing songs from the year they were born) was David Archuleta's song.  The song "You're the voice" was originally released in 1986, even though David was born in 1990.  That song was not popular in 1986, so they re-released it in 1990, and it was still a flop.  Technically David was allowed to sing the song, but all the other sang well known songs from the year they were born, and David "pushed the rules" a little.

I was wondering if they were talking about the Billie Jean version, but I do remember Ryan and David C (in his intro vid) saying that it was Chris Cordel. As well as another song David C did,he gave credit to the other bands that he used as his model for they way he sang it.

As for David A, I had heard on the radio that his father was the one that actually picked the song he sang for his birth year, the one nobody knew. But that could just be speculation, you never know. While David A is an awesome singer, I'm getting bored with his song choices, same thing every week. Yes David C does the same every week but I like rock so I guess that's why it doesn't bother me as much.

I still love both David's and am hoping for a Jason/David (either one) final two.
