So have you seen this movie?  I picked it up on DVD thinking Alex would love it.  We didn't see it in the theaters - we saw Enchanted instead.

Last night we decided to watch, and told Alex it was about toys that come alive.  His first disappointment - it was not a Disney movie.

His second disappointment - the toys don't talk.

So, 10 minutes into the movie he put Toy Story into his DVD player while Andy and I finished this movie.

I thought it was cute, and Alex will enjoy it when he is older, but both of use were upset that the man in the basement didn't start Molly's story.

Alex did see enought that now he wants a sock monkey.  I remember my mom making those when I was a child.  When the film was out in December you could buy one, but can they still be found?  It would be a great Easter gift.

Let me know what you think of this movie!

target sold the sock monkey at christmas, you might check there. Also I was thinking they was at a store at the World of Disney in Orlando. The Once Upon a Toy store.

We saw the movie at the theatre, it was okay

World of Disney - really?  It isn't a Disney Movie so that is a surprise.

Yep - target is where I saw it here too.

I will be going out for Alex's easter basket shopping on Monday while he is at school.  If I can find the sock monkey I will get that, if not, it will be the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars (much more expensive, so the sock monkey is a better choice for easter).

Yep, it was cute, but not a movie I will watch over and over.  I got it for only 15 dollars, and that is cheaper than a movie so I don't feel so bad.

Alex does want the Chipmunks movie that they had previews for in this one.  I meant to take him to see that last year, but we got sick and then our Disneyland trip happened and we just ran out of time.  So I will buy that when it comes out on DVD - besides, I love Christmas movies. lol

We just watched this today at Jake's parents! I liked it, it was cute! Not exactly what I expected but I still liked it. Don't know if I liked it enough to buy it though.

No, but there is a Once Upon a Time store in Disneyland.  Hmmmm wonder if it is the same store?

Yep cute D - I have not done the other features on the DVD.  There all also 4 featurettes about the movie but we have not seen them.

I loved this movie. I rented it for all of us to watch as a family, but I wasn't interested in it for myself, necessarilly. I fell in love w/the story. I would definitely buy it.

It's like Meet the Robinsons. Didn't care much to see it, but fell completely in love w/it and now I want to buy it. My favorite part of the movie...the Walt Disney quote at the end. Loved it!!!
