| Ok, so they do call Jasmine "Princess" (release him...by order of the Princess) but you get what I'm trying to say. I'm just sticking up for our Native American Princess!

| According to wikipedia, the original Disney Princess were (Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty). Mulan and Pocahontas were recently added, and in 2009, Princess Tiana, from the 2009 film the Princess in the Frog will be added (she will be the first African American Princess).
Belle (normal woman living in a French town), Cinderella (a poor woman living with her wicked step sisters) , Mulan (father is a soldier) were not princesses at the beginning. Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and Ariel are but I agree Jasmine is debatable. So technically it would come down to Pocahontas and Jasmine to determine who is the princess who originally was not a princess...
I never realized how diverse Disney princesses are (Caucasian, Asian, Middle Eastern and next year African American). Not sure if that is coincidence, or just some ingenious people at Disney to appeal to an ethnically diverse crowd?
I have to say, great question Elaine!!

| I still stand behind my argument that Jasmine and Pocahantas are princesses! They are just a different culture of a princess. The chief is like a king, therefore P is a princess. The sultan is like a king, therefore J is a princess. So there!

| | I was thinking Cinderella, Mulan, and Belle. Then I remembered Gisselle so changed my question from three princesses to four. I'm of the same school of thought that Pocahontas and Jasmine were princeses as they were born into high status in their respective cultures.

| | I have no idea on the speed limit! Someone said 12, and to me that sounds about right. I have another idea for a question, and I truly don't know the answer, so I thought this might make for a lively discussion. How many Disney movies (let's just stick with animated) had animals that could talk?

| Faster than 12, less than 15!
The number really doesn't have anything to do with Disney, but has something to do with Anaheim.. |

| | Ummm....13, no wait 14! Oh gosh maybe it's 13. Well, on second thought, it could be 14. Am I right?
