| [size=4]Alright, so I am FINALLY writing up my trip report. I will not bore everyone with the mundaine details and just hit the high points.
The Hotel we stayed in was Shades of Green. It is right across the street from the Polynisian. It is about a half mile walk (on the sidewalk) to the monorail. SOG also offers busses to the various parks. This was a great deal. We were also able to take advantage of the extra magic hours. This was also awesome. Our room was a standard room and it was huge. Two doubles and a pull out couch. We had a small eating area and a balcony. All we had to do walk walk down a flight of stairs and we were at the pool. Sweet digs!
Our first Disney day was at EPCOT. I made breakfast reservations in Norway with the Princesses. I made them for 8:40 twenty minutes before the magic hour opening and 1:20 before the reg. hours. While there was a HUGE line for people to get in we just walked through found the line for reservations and walked in. NO WAIT! This was the theme of our trip...NO WAIT!
The breakfast was fine. We had pictures with Belle and then 4 other princesses came to our table: Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Mulan. We had a hearty meal. It was family/buffett style.
After breakfast we headed over to Soarin' and got fast passes. Then we went right to NEMO, no waiting. Nemo was cute the kids enjoyed it. Once off the Nemo ride we went into the aquarium and looked around. We headed over to Talk with Crush. They were feeding the String Rays so we really didn't mind waiting. After about five minutes we went to see Crush. Gabe sat up front and was one of the children that talked with Crush. He told Crush of his own swimming domination. It was a hoot.
After we went back over to Soarin'. What a great ride! (It is at this point that my teenager, decided to be a pouty butt and complained about everything. We ignored this and carried on.) Molly did not want to go on the ride inside the golf ball, so she and I waited for characters at the meet and greet while the boys rode. So now we went to get Fast passes for Test Track (which is an awesome ride!) We then toured the countries took pictures, we ate, and then rode Test Track. After that, we went back to the hotel and swam.
We rested and then went to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks (I cried. They are so wonderful.) We hit a few rides and ate ice cream. This was magic hour time and thus we had no waiting. Headed back home and hit the sack.
Monday my plans went into the crapper. I couldn't get the group going early so we missed the early morning hours at Animal Kingdom. Molly had a melt down right as we went in. We went to get fast passes for the safari and then headed to Nemo. We waited FOREVER. Gabe lost his cool, before the show even started and DH had to take him outside. He missed the show. It is an incredible show. Molly LOVED it. It helped that we had the soundtrack.
After the show we head to the safari. It is pretty cool. We saw many animals. Molly wouldn't let me get the camera too far out as she was afraid the animals might bite me. After the safari we were so hungary. So we hit the Pizza place for some fast food. OK, so at Animal Kingdom the few interactions we had with CMs had been kinda crappy. They were short and a little rude. I was getting a bit put out. However, in the tables, my DD, Molly, knocked over her drink. A CM was close at hand and cleaned it up and brought her a new larger drink. After the meal we choose to leave to get some swimming in before Hollywood Studios. Ryan also agreed that everyone should follow my plans because when they don't we have to wait.
After resting and swimming, we went to Disney's Hollywood studios. We had reservations at Hollywood and Vine for the fantasmic dinner. The food was great the service was excellent. We had some time to kill before the show so we adventured. I realized that because of our lack of following my plans we had now missed the High School Musical stuff and the Power Rangers. Argggg. Oh well, there was no line for Star Tours so we went on several times. Marec waited and had some great interactions with Cruella Deville. After that we headed to Fantasmic. What an incredible show! OMG! I loved it! The kids loved it! WOW! After the show we went back to the hotel and called it a night.
I went ahead and made early dinning reservations at the Crystal Palace. We had breakfast with Pooh. Marec choose to stay at the hotel because he didn't want to get up early. Oh well, his loss. So we eat and think were shall hit a few rides and get back to the hotel. We walk by the Magic Carpet ride and Molly pitches a fit to ride it. So she and I find the entrance. While we are ding that we see the price patrol giving some family that was special enough to make the mom cry. I was thinking yeah for them..argg.for me... Anyway, as Molly and I find a carpet we see Jasmine saying hi to the kids on the ride. I think "How sweet" Then she gets in our carpet. She rode with us! Molly was speechless. After, Jasmine took Molly by the hand and led her over to her meeting area and they had a private photo session. It was SO magical. Before we left Gabe and I hit Splash Mountain and got soaked. FUN!
So on the way back to the hotel we take the monorail. We asked to ride up front and did. Hows that for cool!
OK so it is almost 11:00 and I have to work tomorrow so I will finish later. Lots of love!

| | Somehow Cat, I think you got the better prize. What you got is priceless and is so rare! I hope you have awesome pictures of Molly in heaven! The camera on the Safari - another gem. Molly sounds adorable! Yes, isn't Soarin' awesome? What ride is in the ball? lol I know nothing about Epcot. Cruddy Cm's at AK - I am so sorry you had to deal with that. CM's shouldn't be allowed to have bad days like us mere mortals (an no, that is not anything against you Cat - I just feel they should have a higher standard than we non Cm's do) does that make sense? lol Cat - we have been worried about you, thanks for posting this and for checking in - we missed you. | Thank you for your concern. I'm fine, just crazy busy! In the middle of being a full time teacher, I am working on my Master's, getting ready for the move and doing all the mom stuff (gymnastics, swimming, etc).
Molly was great. She did throw one heck of a fit one day on the bus the Hollywood studios. it was a doozie, complete with trying take off clothes and the works. Everyone just stared at her in a very uncomfortable fashion. Finally my husbands said, 'I bet y'all didn't know that Disney had shows on the busses. There will be a character signing when we get to the park. It broke the tension in the bus. One lady leaned over to me and said, "I know I shouldn't say this, but I'm glad today is your turn for horrible kid day. Mine was yesterday." I laughed.

| | What a great thing your husband did on the bus! Good thinking on his feet (or tush, but you know what I mean). And you can definitely tell who the parents are in that situation, can't you? Parents understand, non parents don't. lol Glad to hear you are just busy and okay. We tend to worry about our online friends when we don't hear from them! It is just because we all think the world of you hun. Leanne

| I'm glad I'm not the only one who cries at the fireworks!!!! How awesome with Jasmine!!! Wow! If it's any consolation, I would not look meanly at you for a screaming child. I'm with the other lady....I'd be glad it was you and not me! LOL. I'll have to take your DH's line and use it if (read when) we run into the same problem!!!

| That's awesome that Jasmine rode you ya'll! I seriously thought they only did that for like thr travel shows and stuff!
And not all non-parents are oblivious to what causes melt downs! Jake and I don't have kids but we totally understand why kids act the way the do when they're tired/hungry/hot. My little brother was born when I was a freshman in high school, I ended up babysitting a lot, took him to the zoo a lot, dealt with melt downs at the zoo, a lot! LOL And my sister has 4 kids that we absolutely love, melt down or not! Jake actually will try to make a kid having a melt down laugh (he makes these really ugly faces, kids seem to love 'em).
It sounds like ya'll had a blast! I can't wait to go!
