Oh he will be so disappointed I bet. I can't imagine that it would be changed especially so drastic.All rumors at this point but likely to happen and not very drastic. The character additions are supposed to be minimal and in the same style as the current figures. I wouldn't have voted to do it but I doubt it will be to irritating. (and Alex will like it) I always thought the rain forest room was one of the worst in the ride and wondered if they were ever going to add a USA section. But I really doubt they are spending 10 months just to make those changes as reported by some frantical Disney posters. There is no doubt there were problems with the flume & boats... they never filled the boats with adults like they do on POTC. The changes will be good or they will be bad... can't make a judgement until we see it. But the point it they are trying to improve it. Let's be honest... Small World is an E ticket ride that outside of the Holiday overlay is a walkon. They needed to do something. Disneyland is not a museum like many of the Frantics feel it should be. Walt himself felt that attractions should be changed and improved so the idea that if the older attractions are changed somehow dishonors Walt's legacy doesn't make much sense to me. Andy

| | There is some substance to those rumors. The Hong Kong Disney Small world will have Disney characters in it, and is being built now, to open in the summer. Because they are doing the engineering, I suspect they will update the ride with the new characters. Not really sure how I feel. |

| | The wikipedia information about it the Hong Kong Disneyland version. The Hong Kong Disneyland version currently under construction will add 40 Disney characters to certain scenes, including Mulan, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch. They will be appear in areas where their stories are originated. It will also have expanded Asian and North American sequences, and the promise of "a spectacular 'curtain call' with some extraordinary optical lighting effects not seen on any other Disney ride". Maybe this could be cool.. | I'm with Andy! Walt wanted them to be "working" parks...changing constantly! I don't have any problems adding characters into the mix! In fact, I as surprised not to see Lilo mixed in with the other hula dancers etc! I doubt they'll make it a whole Lilo and stitch room...but more on the lines of a hidden Mickey type thing...ok, maybe not that hidden, but just in there...not a focus of the room! There are kids wearing Mickey ears...so why not have Mickey and Minnie waving you goodbye or something?! I'm all for the changes! I watched a show on Travel Channel that said they were going to be enhancing the anamatronics (not so jerky etc) and adding graphics that "rival the new Finding Nemo". I think it sounds pretty good! And what Walt would have wanted!!!! I think no matter what they do to it Alex will appreciate it!  And when we were there in June I think we were the only people on the ride the entire week!!!
