My initial thoughts was that Tokyo Disneyland was way cool, especially entering in the big covered main street.  But the feeling wore off during the day.  I think being Tokyo with the big bright lights, I expected to be amazed.  But things seemed very normal--- Haunted Mansion was done for Holiday Mansion and the experience was basically the same as DL.  Small World was closed while I was there, and Buzz was basically the same (as it is in Hong Kong).  The fireworks were ho-hum (same way in Hong Kong).  Comparing the Magic Kingdom experience, I think I enjoyed Hong Kong Disneyland more (even though it was much smaller).  HKD is really beautiful.

But, the second day I went to Tokyo DisneySea..

Tokyo Disney Sea really impressed me.  They have one animatronic ride based on Sinbad which I still rave about.  The 20,000 Leagues ride was Ok, but the Journey to the Center of the Earth was really cool.  I've been fortunate enough to have been to all 5 Disney resorts, and would say this was really what I was looking for from my Tokyo Experience.

But certainly if the dollar gains some ground against the yen, I would like to take my wife to TDL on our a trip back to China!!

I may get the chance to go to Disneyland Paris. My sister's husband has a 1 in 3 chance of being stationed in London. If he does then I told my sister that I'm going to take both weeks of vacation in one shot and we're going to tour Europe....stopping at Disneyland Paris! We'll see though, they won't know their permanent station for another year or so.

I've been very fortunate to get some of the travels through my job.  I had been to WDW several times, because my sister was a former manager for Disney Stores, and had a Silver Pass (which allowed her to get herself and 3 other in the park for free).  In 1999, I went on vacation with my family to Europe, and we went to  Disneyland Paris (I got another opportunity in 2001 to go there when working in Germany for work).  I met Leanne and Andy while in line for balcony tickets for Fantasmic in 2001, which was my first trip to DL.

I've been able to swing the Asian trips with my job, since I've worked in China 4 different times within the last 2 years.  Twice I flew through Hong Kong, and once I flew through Tokyo.  I've been fortunate to be able to be able to take a short vacation and visit these parks.

I have been to all the locations--- but I am missing one park.  Walt Disney Studio Park in Paris--- opened in 2002 (last time I was there was 2001).

I'm a little confused as to if there will be a park in Shanghai.  Some sources say yes, but a while back my wife mentioned to me that Disney has decided to invest big money in Hong Kong Disneyland, to add more attractions (similar to the ideas about DCA), and would not be building in Shanghai just yet.

Wow - I am sure many would love to have a Disney park in Sydney.  Seems like a great location to have one.
