So we left our hometown in Illinois at 1:15 pm. Already 15 minutes past schedule. But it only gets worse when we stop in the town south of us for lunch. The drive thru at McDonald's was extremely slow. We had to wait 15 minutes for our food. This was killing me and my patience was tested so much on the drive down to Florida. My uncle called us not long after we got on the road and he was stuck in traffic and was crawling through Atlanta. It took him 3 hours to go because of traffic. Anyways when we finally get to Atlanta 8 hours later we fly through there with no traffic issues. We get to the Florida state line around 1am and I am on a second wind and proceed to drive until we are an hour from our hotel. We stopped at 3 am at a hotel for $50 and we sleep till 9 am.

We get to our hotel about 10 am and we are able to check-in and we was able to get in our room. We stayed at the All Star Sports in the Tennis Building #5 Rm 5118 which was located on the ground level. We had two towel creations the basic Mickey head on the bed and a little bunny that held soap on our sink that was decorated with Easter stickers. I got yelled at by my DH because I took the bunny home.

After unpacking we headed to DHS because it was looking very rainy out and most of DHS is located inside. We headed to Playhouse Disney Live! first. This had been redone and is so good. The kids really enjoyed it although Trey was unhappy going to a "baby show". The new show features: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, & My Friends Tigger and Pooh. The story is based on throwing a surprise birthday for Minnie. During the show you are showered with bubbles, leaves, and streamers. You also get to get up and dance with each show. Kyan absolutely loved it. And we thought the new show was great much better than the former version.

After that we headed to the Animation Building to see Frozone and to have a picture of a set from Ratoutille. Then we was off to lunch at the ABC Commissary. Our meal came to 34.14, ( I kept track because we was on the dining plan and I wanted to know how much I saved)

After lunch it was time for the Block Party Bash which was such an energy packed show that we all loved. We sat in front of the Monsters Inc section since that is what the kids love the best out of 3. For those that have not seen it the parade features, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and Bug's Life.

Next up was the Backlot Studios which was fun to ride.

Can you guess what movie this is from?

When we departed from the ride I saw the meet and greet area for Sully and Mike. Ky's favorites but when we get up there she freezes and refuses to go up there without me. I was so disappointed and afraid that she was going to hate all the characters for the rest of the trip. Will she be? Stay tuned.

Next up for the day was Star Tours and that was followed by Tower of Terror. Trey was already chickening out but we convinced him to go on it. So here all four of sit and I start getting worried how Ky was going to react. So I just start talking her through the ride. When we get the part where it's suppose to drop we don't drop we go flying upward and then finally drop. And then we go up and drop, up and drop, up and drop. The whole time Trey is crying and Kyan was shaking so bad I thought she was going to have an attack of some sorts. After the ride the children declare they are NEVER going on that ride again.

Then it was time to head to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for our reservation. Stay tuned to find out if Kyan hides from the characters. And who was giving me kisses.

So the Tower of Terror really was terrifying? I can't believe you drove the whole way. You are a brave brave soul. The pics are great! Glad you're back!

I have a love/hate relationship with your to be continued's.....they are cute..but I'm dying to know what happened!!!   Keep the pics coming too....I love em! So far sounds like you had fun.....I had to laugh at the kids on ToT though...I would have been enjoying the fact that they weren't my kids!

Could you give us a hint about what's coming next?! LOL And ToT, wow, I can't believe your kids tried it out. Kudos to them! I almost chickened out at CA the first time I rode it, had myself convinced that our elevator wouldn't stop falling. Put me on any roller coaster around and I'm cool with it. Put me on something were I hang for a minute and drop, that takes a few minutes of gathering courage!

We told Alex that he has to ride every ride Once this trip - including ToT.  We are holding him to it, and I think he will love it (hopefully!).

Great report from Day 1 - and I understand your frustration in the beginning - I am the same way.

I loved the pics!

And seeing your pics made me miss Block Party Bash since we no longer have it.

We have Joshua totally convinced to ride ToT!  Yea!  Was Block Party Bash the exact same as DL??  Do they always stagger the parades like that? (thinking they only have to make one float instead of two etc!)

BPB was in three sections and it actually stops while the acts are performed. And I am not sure if it's the same parade but it sounds like it is from what I have heard.
