Day 2 Continued at Chef Mickey's

When I left off we was on our way to the Ticket and Transportation Center to catch the monorail to the Contemporary resort for dinner at Chef Mickey’s. We arrived and we had about a 10 minute wait to just check-in. After we check in we have our picture taken. Opted out of the package and then we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We are finally seated in Donald’s area and I was excited because I really like Donald. We head up to the bar first. I had some prime rib and some baby back ribs along with some mashed potatoes and salad. I just have to say the ribs were so good. The meat just fell away from the bones. The kids had mac and cheese, chicken fingers, and Mickey ravioli. Sorry no pictures but for dessert there was everything you could imagine. Key lime pie, carrot cakes, chocolate cake, ice cream with every topping imaginable plus much more.

It was so yummy, don't you just love the mickey's

While at Chef Mickey’s we saw Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto. Donald came into our area for the celebration time. And we even got to visit with Donald and Goofy twice. And I even got a kiss from them both. Which the kids thought was so funny and was teasing Troy about it. The meal came to $122.42 before the tip. We also purchased two children’s Pirate Punch cups that came with a light up Tink and Hook. They were $6.49 a piece.

Total cost for the day for food $169.54 actually cost us $95.96 and $13 for cups. Savings = $60.58

After supper we headed back to the hotel so the kids could swim. The water in the pool was a little chilly but that never affects the kids. I headed to the gift shop searching for some last minute Easter items. I bought Trey a Donald car and Kyan a Mickey hair tie and I got myself a “I love Troy” jibbit for my crocs. I thought it was cute even if it was suppose to be the Troy from HSM. But since hubby’s name is Troy it worked perfectly.

Day 3 Easter

We wake up early for reservations at Ohana’s for breakfast. I actually awoke to Stitch yelling at me to wake up with Mickey apologizing for Stitch’s behavior. The kids then opened their Easter basket.

We had decided to drive to Ohana’s instead of leaving so early for the buses and monorail ride. We arrived at the Polynesian in a easy 10 minute drive. We check -in and head to the pictures and then we are seated at our table. Before the pictures each of us was gave a lei, which we have never received before so I thought it was neat. The food was the same, first pineapple bread and cinnamon raisin bread, followed by honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple, & grapes. Then our main breakfast came out, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, potatoes, & Mickey waffles. Everything was so good. To drink they offer you Stitch’s favorite juice which is a orange, guava, & mango juices mixed and us girls love it but the boys opted for other drinks. During our breakfast we was visited by Stitch, Lilo, Mickey & Pluto. Now I know you are asking did Kyan hide? Nope she just clung to the characters with love. I still wonder what frighten her with Sulley. Pluto was a riot he was crawling on the floor looking for scraps the whole time. Just going from table to table by crawling, it was so cute. After our meal we was waiting for the parade which the kids love but Kyan was once again very shy. So after the parade we was getting settled at the table and Stitch came by and grabbed the top of Kyan’s head and planted a kiss. The look on her face was pure terror but then she realized what happened and was laughing so hard about it. We gathering our belonging and head out after spending $76.64 on breakfast.

" Here is the breakfast just ignore my silly son. "

We decide to leave our car parked at the Polynesian and head straight to the MK by monorail. Upon arrival we see tons of Easter belles. I am not sure of their correct name but it was ladies dressing in full Southern Easter dresses with umbrellas. There was so many of them just walking around posing for photos. The Easter bunny was there also. We however head to Splash Mt, then Thunder Mt, then Pirates. After Pirates Troy went to get more fast passes and we stopped to watch the Pirate Tutorial which had started but we managed to sneak towards the front. And Jack picked Kyan to be in the show. Kyan bolted behind me and then he asked Trey aka “Johnny Blue Shoes” So Trey got to be in the show again, yea.

"Everyone loves Cpt Jack Sparrow"

After wiping the drool off myself we head back to Splash and Thunder. After that it is close to lunch and we wasn’t extremely hungry by we stopped for ice cream. The kids get the Popsicles called Itzakadoozie, I have a Mickey bar, and Troy gets a chocolate almond bar. Plus we add a bottle water. Total cost $12.50 but was 5 snack credits for us.

After our snacks we head to the Haunted Mansion. I was so excited to see the remolding and I wasn’t disappointed. The bride’s room in the attic was so neat. I love the revamp and all the new details added.

First time ever seeing the hearse

Then we was off to the Jungle Cruise. Where I got busted taking our guide’s picture and he wanted me to pay him $5. Of course he was teasing.

After surviving the cruise we head back to our resort for some swimming and a nap. But before that we have some counter service, which came to $35

**Stayed tuned to see who was causing mischief at the Liberty Tree Tavern and find out who gets lost.

Oh and who could forget the first of five dreams.

Wow Kristi - sounds like a perfect day!  Getting to spend time with the Fab 5 at Chef Mickeys must have been wonderful!

Again, love the pics!

Oh - and about Kyan and Sully - maybe it was because he is simply huge while the other characters are much smaller.  Who knows.

And who could ignore Trey in that pic - he is adorable.

Can't wait for more!

YOu are such a LUCKY DUCK. Captain Jack?!?! I never get to see the Captain. I love the idea of spend a holiday in the park. We are going to have to try it one year. I'm so glad your little one decided to enjoy the characters.
What did you have in the kids Easter baskets? Did they have an egg hunt?

Now I'm wondering about the dining plan...maybe I should look into getting it. I'm just wary because I got it one year for DL and we didn't use all of them so it ended up being wasted money. It'll be interesting to see how much you saved in the end.

Yes, I love Cpt Jack.

There Easter baskets had a pirate bank, Tia Dalma figure, Pirate shirt , & 4 pins for Trey. Cinderella doll, Snow White doll, tink shirt, & 4 pins. Plus some candy. We didn't have an egg hunt but I handed out eggs filled with Starburst and Laffy Taffy to the CM that was "egg-tra special."

We called the front desk and there was suppose to be a movie, karoke, and giant beach ball down by the pool but it was never there. We found out it was next door at the Music.
