| | Day at the Animal Kingdom Day 4 - Monday We wake up late this morning and we are moving slow. It was close till 11:30 when we arrived at the AK.
Upon entering the park Devine was walking around the oasis and everyone was gathering around her. Instead of going over we choose to go get fast passes for the safari as the last safari for the day was at 6:30. Once we had those precious fast passes we decided to go get lunch. Troy and I wanted to try the Flame Tree BBQ but Trey wanted the McDonalds and proceeded to pout. SO I pushed past Flame Tree upset and grumbling under my breath. We get to the McDonalds and the line was so far out the door probably a 30-45 minute wait. I refused and told Trey sorry but I am not waiting in that line. So we to Flame Tree ,yea! So I send Troy to find a table with Ky and Trey and I get all the food. Troy had the BBQ ribs that came with baked beans and corn muffin, drink and chocolate cake. I had the BBQ chicken, baked beans and corn muffin with key lime pie. The kids had hot dogs with grapes for Trey and jello for Kyan and both chocolate chip cookies. The total came to $40.39 and we also used one snack credit on an order of onion rings which was $4.09 Total food $44.48 Now let me say this if we ever go back to this restaurant I would not be getting the chicken and Troy says he wishes he didn’t get the ribs. Actually the pork sandwich looked good and if we go back that is what I would get. After our meal we had to go to the Boneyard to let the kids play, part of the deal since lunch lines where horrible. I found a meeting place and stayed there why the kids ran around and lost Troy. I really wanted to go exploring also but I wanted one of us to stay in a secure spot in front of the exit. Sorry but you can never be too sure. So the kids played there forever while I was checking out times for Nemo. I finally flag some children of mine down and announced it was time to go. I wanted to see Nemo and we had to get in line now. Well needless to say we get in line and Troy starts asking where his coat is. Swearing he left it with me in the Boneyard, so he goes back to check. Comes back mad at me because it wasn’t there and he left it with me. Hello, you are how old? So I get very upset and start to walk out of the line when he’s like, "no stay". About that time a cast member was talking to the family in front of us and said they was the cut off and they would be lucky if there was even seats for them. So that really sets me off and I leave. Troy asks why I did and I blew my top. Sorry, but it was bound to happen, I have tried for 2 years to see this show and he always stops me from seeing it. And he kept going on about his stupid free jacket from work. So I looked at him and asked if he asked the attendant working. Well no, so I go over there and ask and low and behold his precious jacket was there. Sorry but I was really upset. Still am thinking about it. On to happier things, we go and ride the safari,

then head over to the Wildlife Express Train to visit the conservation station. There we get to see Jiminy Cricket, the first time ever I was so happy. After exploring inside we head out to brush some goats at the petting zoo. Once we are done pampering the goats Trey spots the Tree of Life place set and he was going to buy it because it was the last one. Now here is big deal #2. Trey refuses for it to be shipped to the hotel because it would take a day to get there. The poor man and lady working was trying to convince he to because it was so big and bulky and we would have to take it everywhere we go. Well I even tried to get it sent to the front of the park but that service had stopped for the day. The poor man was making all sorts of calls and finally declared he was leaving for the day and he would personally take it up there himself. We was so grateful and they had taken so much time trying to figure this out I reached in and gave them each an Easter egg that we had filled with candy for special cast members. The man was so moved and said he wanted to do something nice for us and yep dream #3. He gave us a fast pass for the whole family to use on any ride we wanted. I was so excited and Trey was so proud because it said for “Trey’s Family” on the fast pass. Well Trey than traded pins with him and I pointed out a hidden Mickey pin that I would have traded for and the man just smiled and said, “Yes, but you aren’t trading.” and he smiled. True, I never do it’s all about the joy the kids get out of it. And I never tell them which ones that have to get, I just won’t let them trade a few certain ones that are limited editions. Okay so we are off to use that precious dream on the safari. We go all through the line and get to where they are to take the fast pass and no one is there. So we get to keep the fast pass. We was excited. So after the safari we decide to see if Trey is tall enough for Expedition Everest and he is so off Troy and Trey go to use the fast pass but not before we get a baby swap pass. So once they get off Trey and I go. I was nervous and Trey actually talked me through the ride. It was so awesome. If you go to AK you have to ride this ride. The yeti is huge!

After escaping from the yeti we go to Tough to be a Bug. After that we decided to go eat at the Rainforest Café which we was seated immediately from being in their membership club. We get the cheese sticks for the free appetizers which the kids devour and Troy had the BBQ wrap and I went with a burger. Kids had pizza and I think chicken. We finished the evening there with a volcano. I don’t remember the price of the meal but I had $75 in gift certificates (from Mypoints) and we left all of it. My only complaint about RC was it took forever there that night. We was in the restaurant for 2 ½ hours and I missed the last Lion King show. Coming up next, dining with the fishes, and a sign from above. For the next portion of Kristi's trip report, click here

| That was nice of that cast member to offer to take it up to the front for ya'll! My niece liked EE as well and I can't wait to ride it! Sounds like even for a late start in the day ya'll got a lot in. I'm debating RC because, well, we're trying to only eat out once a day and for AK I really want to do Donald's breakfast.
Can't wait for the next installment!

| | The cast member was so nice, I wish I could remember his name though, the lady was Emma easy to remember since that's my niece's name. We really didn't do a lot at AK but we had done it before so no biggie and the kids didn't complain so everyone was happy except me because I didn't get to see Nemo. It was too chilly for Kali, the kids was to short for Primevil Wheel, and triceratop spin is just like Dumbo and I wasn't waiting in that huge line, and I knew Dinosaur would scare the crap out of the kids, so yes we missed a lot.

| I believe that Animal Kingdom has a meltdown curse upon it. At some point while we were there each member of our family lost their cool.
Handing out the eggs was SO nice of you. You're such a sweetie!
Don't worry you will see NEMO someday.

| I LOVE the lion pics. My animal pictures were not so great as Molly would not let me aim well. She was afraid the animals would eat my hand off.

| Ahhhh men, Can't keep track of their own clothes or ask for directions do you think it is a gene defect. , Do you think 1 day opening til around 2.30/3.00 be enough for us, seeing the kids can't ride a lot there. I think they will enjoy the animals though. Kirsten |

| | I hope we don't have the AK meltdown!! Glad you had a great cast member to make your day happily memorable!! Is it normal to see the lion? It seems like it would be a rare treat?!! I didn't really care to spend the time to go to RC but Mom and Dad are dying to try it. Ah well.

| | Sounds like a good day - even with the meltdown. I will remind everyone that our dear Kristi was also sick, and that probably didn't help. But yes, men will be men. I think you did great seeing all of those animals on the safari. I have heard over and over that it is best to do this ride at opening because the animals are more active then. Seeing the lion is wonderful! Okay - we are now waiting for the final 2 dreams, one of which makes you cry. Bring it on girl! Leanne

| | Okay, the lion is normally laying down or asleep very rarely is he up active. We went in later afternoon for the first trip and early evening 6 ish for the second ride. The lion was morning at the 6oclock trip. Also I got great pictures of the baby elephant and the rhino. The rhino is posted I didn't post the elephant because when I looked at the picture he was doing his business in the photo. Also our truck was stopped by the baby rhino so I took several pictures of him, he was too cute. Kirsten- you should be able to get everything done. for your tikes, the safari is a must, go to the conservation station, Lion King show, and the character greeting trails, also triceratop spin is like dumbo.
