We live on the "green belt" (walking trails and farmer's canal (running water) ) with just a chain link.  I'm nervous that the kids are accessible to anyone on the other side of that small fence...or that one of the kids will jump the fence and end up in the canal!  When we bought the house the green belt was a selling point to us.  It makes our own yard look larger than it is...and no behind neighbors...but now I wish we hadn't bought here!!!  Joshua is such an outside boy and it would be so much easier to be able to send him out while I cook, clean, etc.

Mynde - All it takes is faith and trust...and something I forgot...Dust...just a little bit of Pixie Dust

Know the names of my neighbours on each side of my house, borrowed an egg from one the other day and am often collecting packages for the other side from the mail man cause they work and aren't home to sign,

Also know the two across the road from us, Shannon is from California living in the UK and I am from NZ living in the UK so we kinda have a bit in common being so far from home.  We pop over for coffee and a chat occasionally.  Lady next to her is a nice older lady with two dogs, she has a Christmas get together each year so we meet some of the other neighbours in the area as well.

Well, I live in a rural community so I don't have any neighbors. Unless you count my parents who live about a 1/4 of a mile away from us. The nearest neighbors live a mile or more and I have no idea who they are.

When we moved here, it was a small town.  Not anymore! In the last 12 (almost 13 now) years it has changed and grown so much it is amazing.

And yes, it is very sad how the world has changed.
