| | Hi everyone! Okay, I know many have been to the Disneyland Resort in California as well as the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. I know there are many rides that both parks have but I also know that many of those same rides are vastly different. For example - Jungle Cruise. In Florida it goes through a temple or something (don't know yet - have not ridden myself), but it doesn't do that in California. Small World is similar, but the biggest difference is the facade. Haunted Mansion is the same, just the building looks different. Tower of Terror goes sideways in Florida, but not at Disneyland. Nemo - at Disneyland it is in a submarine, at WDW it is in a clamshell. Winnie the Pooh - I have only heard the WDW is a much better ride than Disneyland. So what about others - Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Pirates. There are many more, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Are those rides different? And if so, how? What about rides I didn't mention? Since we are planning a trip to WDW in a few weeks, I want to know about all the rides that both coasts have that are different so we can ride the WDW version. Thanks! Leanne

| I know on Space Mountain you sit one behind the other at WDW, not side by side like DL. And on Splash Mountain you sit side by side at WDW, not one behind the other at DL.

| | Haunted Mansion in WDW queues you right into the Doom Buggy, the special effects in the DL queue happens once you are on the ride (pictures changing during lightening, etc). Pirates does not have the Louisianna Bayou room. Tiki room has been updated; I still prefer the original, but I bet you'll get a kick out of the update. The abnoxious parrot from Aladin decides to make this attraction profitable and starts to implement changes. You're right about Jungle Cruise.....there is a portion that goes inside a temple. That's about all I can come up with!

| Tower of Terror goes side ways? I am a little confused.

| | I beg to differ about the Winnie the Pooh ride at WDW. The one at DL is MUCH better! The atmosphere of the Hundred Acre Woods makes standing in line enjoyable. And the DL ride is fun. The ride at WDW is in Fantasyland and doesn't have the Hundred Acre Woods atmosphere. In fact, we walked right by it without realizing the ride was there because it blended in with the other Fantasyland rides. The Haunted Mansion rides are different. I like both of them; they are different enough for me that it was worth riding both. The mansions are different styles and you don't enter the ride at WDW through the front door of the mansion. You enter the ride from the side of the house. I like Pirates better at DL because at WDW there's no drops, like at the beginning of the DL you go down two slopes in the dark. Also it wasn't as fun. Some of the scenery was in the waiting line of the WDW ride and it took away stuff from the actual ride. The Jungle Cruise ride was actually better at WDW because there was more detail and the temple thing was cool. The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse at WDW is much cooler than the old Swiss Family Treehouse at DL. The tree at WDW is bigger and takes longer to walk through with twists and turns and stuff. But I like Tarzan's Treehouse at DL because it's different. That's all I can think of right now. The last time I was at WDW was in 2004 and we were only there for a few hours one Saturday and then we had to leave due to a hurricane.

| | Kristi - I just talked to someone today who didn't remember ToT going sideways either. Not sure where I heard that. I plan on riding it, so will have to find out! Okay - Space Mountain - that makes sense then about the taller height requirement. Since we can't sit side by side I don't know that Alex will ride. Winne the Pooh at Disneyland is better? Wow - good to hear. I told Alex we would not go on the Swiss Family Treehouse - now looks like we better - thanks Lisa! So am I right in thinking there is no stretching room at the Haunted Mansion in WDW? (If the line ends at the Doom Buggies that sounds right, but I may simply be confused). I can't wait to try the Jungle Cruise at MK - it looks considerably different, and not in a bad way. Thanks everyone for your input - keep it coming! Leanne

| No, there is a stretching room at WDW's Haunted Mansion. You enter through the side of the mansion into the stretching room. Then you get into the doom buggy. Some of the effects that you see while you're waiting in line at the DL ride are actually a part of the ride at WDW.

| Thanks so much for clearing that up! I absolutely can't wait to ride Haunted Mansion there. And strangely enough, I can't wait to ride Small World either - yep, crazy I know. Leanne

| | There is a drop at the beginning of Pirates at WDW ToT does go up and then it has a little ghost scene and you go up a little more, move forward zig zagging forward and then stop and the random sequence starts. I will have to watch your DL videos to see which are different.
