Hello everyone.  Once again I m in need of some assistance.
In October my family and I will be going to Disneyland and we'll be staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel.
My daughter who is 3 has severe allergies and can only eat natural and organic products.
As we can pack and bring along only so much from home we'll be needing to purchase some organic produce locally.
If you know of any stores or markets nearby the Disneyland property please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Aloha,
Peter

I am not sure who exactly you need to contact but maybe start with Vacation planning and they can direct you in the right direction. When you call and make any reservations I would tell them so they can mark in on your reservation and must times a chef will come out and speak with you about the allergy.

I do know that WDW has a special diets department line so I am sure DL has something along this line just finding the right person to help is where to start and I am sure something in Vacation Planning will get the ball rolling for you.

Kristi,

Thank you very much for your response and suggestions.
On our trip to WDW last year the we did speak with the chef at each restaurant we went to ahead of time and they did make some very special accomodations for my daughter.
They were very willing to help and it made things a lot easier for us.
However, my daughter's allergies have gotten worse since and now we'd rather prepare things for her on our own as she has become very sensitive to many things, including food smells.

In short we'll be freezing some meat items and need to get fresh organic fruits and vegetables for her.
We have a lot of time so hopefully we'll find somewhere nearby as a good source.

Aloha,
Peter

There is a grocery store just down the street from DL.  I don't know if they have organic stuff but I'm sure they do!  There is probably a Wild Oats or some other organic chain nearby...it IS California after all!

I still think you should start with vacation planning...but...

Will you have a car?  I found a Whole Foods Market about 10 miles from Disneyland (2847 Park Avenue, Tustin, CA).  Mapqust it and see if it's doable or not.....

You still may call Vacation Planning and they may help you or suggest locations.  Some places will even deliver.

Mynde,

Thanks for the assistance.
Through Disney I was able to locate a market called Henry's Farmers Market which is about 10 minutes away from the resort.
I also found the Whole Foods store you mentioned which would probably be the better option.
We'll be renting a car for 2-3 days of our 7 day stay so we should be fine.  I hope.
We won't need too many things so I'm hoping that one or two stores will have what my daughter likes to eat.

Aloha,
Peter
