The wait is finally over.  My family and I are finally headed to Disneyland tomorrow morning.
To day the least my daughter is very excited and can't wait to get there to see Mickey.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given us suggestions and input regarding my daughter's allergies.
With your help we've been able to locate a few nearby sources of organic and natural products as well as getting help from Disney's customer service at a few different places.

On a side note, a woman named Lizzy at the Paradise Pier Hotel has simply been a blessing for us.
She has been compiling information, looking for sources of organic products from places other than what we already knew, and she even put together a list for us from Henry's Market consisting of their entire organic and natural products selection.
She even coordinated with the manager at Henry's Market and told us that he is expecting us and will gladly take us around the store to show us where all of the items are.
Amazing.  People like Lizzy is why Disney is such a magical and special place.

Anyway, I'll update you all upon return.
Thanks again.

Aloha,
Peter

Peter - that is so awesome about Lizzy.  I sure hope you get to tell someone how much help she has been to your family!

I really can't wait to hear about your trip.

have a wonderfull time. It is amazing the lengths that people like Lizzy will go to to make your vacation not only more magical but safer. I have found this to be the norm in my experience not the exception. Lizzy should be recognized for going the extra mile to help not only a little girl have a much happier vacation but a whole family. I also would commend the store owner who doesn't know you but is ready to take you around the store and make sure you find what you need for your daughter.

may all your moments be magical and smiles never leave your faces in the happiest place on earth.

Sorry for taking so long for posting this update as we returned over a week ago.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Disneyland and it was greatly enhanced by some special treatment we received while there.
As I mentioned, prior to us getting there a customer service woman named Lizzy at the Paradise Pier Hotel went to great lengths to get us information on stores where we could go to for our daughter's (Kacey) special dietary needs.
Little did we know that Lizzy had more planned for us.

We arrived very late (a little past midnight), so we tried to get some sleep before our vacation really began.
The first thing we did before heading out the next morning was to see find Lizzy because we brought something special for her that included some local snacks and a candy lei (we're from Hawaii).
We wanted to make sure that we met her to thank her personally.
She was so happy to see us.
After talking a little she told us that she had something else for Kacey in her office.
She came back out with a bouquet of balloons and a packet of coloring sheets, crayons, tattoos, and an autographed photo of Goofy.
Wow!
Kacey was so happy to say the least.

Later that afternoon we found out that Lizzy had another package waiting for us.
It contained a thank you card and more gifts for Kacey.
She told us that she ate a few of the snacks we gave her and loved them.
We were so happy that she did.  It was the least we could do for her caring and generosity.

A few days into our trip we had another special encounter.
After seeing the princesses in the Princess Fantasy Fair, Kacey wanted to get her hair done and make-up too.
The woman who helped us, Jody, was very nice and used some hypo-allergenic make-up that my wife had brought because of Kacey's allergies.
Jody made her feel very comfortable and before we knew it, our daughter looked just like a beautiful princess (she was already wearing an Aurora dress too).
She was so happy and excited seeing herself in the mirror.
Jody actually got teary-eyed seeing Kacey's joy.
Kacey then danced at the Princess Coronation Ceremony and had a blast.
A few days later we were able to find Jody (after hunting her down at CA then back at DL where people told us she would be but wasn't) and gave her a small gift as a token of our appreciation.
She was so happy with the sentiment that she cried.  She told us that they were "tears of joy".

Anyway, sorry for the long post.
There were other "special" things worth mentioning but I thought that I'd share the most memorable and important ones.
Kacey's allergies did not bother her too much, but a few days before we left the winds kicked up and the soot from brush fires smothered Disneyland and CA.
This alone caused much problems for her as she started to become very itchy from it.
The weather was nice for the most part and she did great overall.
We did manage to do some shopping for organic products and feel comfort in future returns knowing what we know now.

We also just recevied a card from Lizzy a few days ago.
She liked one particular snack mix that we gave her so much that she is asking if we could buy more and ship them to her if she gave us the money.
Of course we'll be sending her some but we won't take her money.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you here who gave us suggestions and advice.
Our trip was greatly enhanced due to your caring.

One last thing.
Before we even got back home Kacey told me that she wants to go to Disney World for our next vacation.
I guess we'd better start saving our money.

Aloha,
Peter

Peter, that is so great to hear. It sounds like you have made a life long Disney friend. I am so glad your trip was very memorable for your daughter.

And let us know if you need any help with Disney World

Sounds like ya'll had a wonderful time! I'm glad things worked out and there were no allergy problems. I have to agree, some of the candy and snacks from Hawaii are wonderful! My mom's cousin lives there and every year for Christmas my mom gets the same thing from her, macadamia nuts covered in white chocolate, yummy!
