Thanks Kristi.
When we visit DL the next time I am sure we'll be staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel.
We just hope that Lizzy will still be there.

In regards to Disney World, that will be another challenge we must face when the time comes.
Being on property we feel there is no need for a rental car due to their great transportation system via bus and ferry, but if we need to go shopping (and I am sure that we will), a rental car will definitely be in the plan.

When the time comes I will surely take you up on your offer for assistance.
Tentatively the plan is for us to go in 2010.  We'll see though.

Aloha,
Peter

Peter, that is so great to hear. It sounds like you have made a life long Disney friend. I am so glad your trip was very memorable for your daughter.

And let us know if you need any help with Disney World

Have you ever tried furikake Chex mix?  This is a very popular local snack.
I'm not too sure if they have anything like this on the mainland.
Anyway, what this mix basically consists of is Chex (corn, rice) cereal with other things like pretzels, Honeycomb cereal, nuts, and finally furikake (seaweed and sesame seed mix).
The mix is "seasoned" with a butter and sugar mix and mixed thoroughly then baked until crispy.
What you end up with is a very tasty (not too sweet) snack mix.

My wife used to make it to give away at Christmas to family and friends.
The trouble with this is that it is usually done in big batches only.
Am I making you guys hungry?

Sounds like ya'll had a wonderful time! I'm glad things worked out and there were no allergy problems. I have to agree, some of the candy and snacks from Hawaii are wonderful! My mom's cousin lives there and every year for Christmas my mom gets the same thing from her, macadamia nuts covered in white chocolate, yummy!
