| Well, eat for one! There's tons of good food at Disneyland. You have the parades and fireworks. Okay, I've never been pregnant, much less pregnant in an amusement park but here's what I remember being calm rides. The Disneyland Train, I would think all the rides in Fantasy land with the exception of the Teacups, maybe Dumbo, and maybe Toad's Wild Ride (it's kinda jerky). Maybe Pirates, I would ask your doctor about short drops though. Jungle Cruise I think would be safe. Haunted Mansion should be okay, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mark Twain River boat. You'd be able to go over to Tom Sawyer's Island and Tarzan's Tree House as well as Mickey and Minnie's houses. Ummmm, Innoventions (that's a wonderful air conditioned place!) I don't know if you could do Buzz Lightyear, the spinning may get you, I can't remember if it's jerky at all. You probably could do Finding Nemo and most definitely could do Small World. That's all for Disneyland that I can think of off the top of my head....oh! Any of the Main Street Cars and of course all the shows (Great Moments with Lincoln, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, etc).
Now for California Adventures.....ummmmm, I think most of the rides there are more thrill rides. Might be able to do Monster's Inc. If you have other kids you could probably ride most everything in Bug's Land, not the bumper cars though. For shows you have Aladdin and the Muppets 3D and Playhouse Disney (again if there's little ones with you). I wouldn't think you could do Soarin', I would check with your doctor on that one. It's not jerky but has a lot of motion.
I'm sure someone who has actually been pregnant will be along shortly and be able to give you absolute answers but I think most of what I listed you would be able to ride.

| | You can still have a good time at Disneyland while pregnant. I agree... enjoy all the food! This is one time in your life when you really CAN enjoy it (unless you have heartburn like I did when I was pregnant). At Disneyland you could see Tarzan's Treehouse, meet all the princesses at the Princess Fantasy Faire, meet Minnie, Mickey, etc....., go to Innovations, go to the Tiki Room, do Nemo's Submarine Voyage, Haunted Mansion, Honey I Shrunk the Audience (especially because it is supposedly closing in September), Jungle Cruise, you might be able to do Alice in Wonderland, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Disneyland Railroad, and the Mark Twain Riverboat. And definitely watch Fantasmic! At California Adventure you can: go to the Disney Animation building! There is plenty to do in there, it's nice and cool, and it's fun/interesting. If you're hungry, stop by the Mission Tortilla Factory and the Boudin Bakery Tour. Go see It's Tough to Be a Bug... I'm pretty sure you'll be fine in there. The seats don't move or anything. You could probably do Toy Story Mania too! Go over to Bug's Land because there's lots of gentle rides there. And if you want to sit for a while and enjoy some good entertainment, go see Aladdin. Hope we've helped you out some!

| Holy cow, how did I forget about the Tiki Room? You absolutely have to have a Dole Whip Float while you wait for and watch the show, yummy!

| Oh I am sure there is rides you could do. Most of the rides in Fantasyland would be managable and if you aren't motion sickness you will be fine on them. Most of the time it is how comfortable you feel about it.

| I'm pretty sure you COULD do Soarin but ask your doctor first! It's pretty tame unless you are motion sensitive! There really are a ton of things you can do and only a handful that you CAN'T!!! (no Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, ask your doctor about Splash Mountain...it's not bad either, I'd say no Teacups, Roger Rabbit). That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now....this doesn't include California Adventure...there are more that you can't do there than there are that you CAN do. You will still have a WONDERFUL time at 5-6 months pregnant!!!!!

| | Lacey, I would say as far as rides go you can do the following: Everything in Fantasyland except Matterhorn. Buzz and Autopia in Tomorrowland. Jungle Cruise and Pirates in Adventureland. Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. Splash Mountain and Pooh in Critter Country. (splash is not a jerky ride so should be fine). California Adventure: Soarin', Monster's Inc., Toy Story Mania, the Zephyr. The rides doctors don't want you doing while pregnant are the jerky rides. Everything else should be okay. Just stay off roller coasters and spin rides (Roger Rabbit). And yes - eat your way through the parks - that will be great fun! Leanne

| | I went to Disneyland when I was pregnant with each of my four kids. (It became a tradition to go while I was 7 months pregnant!) I did all the rides except for the big thrill rides. Tink's list is good, except for Autopia. If someone were to slam into the back of your car it could cause problems. Now if you have someone you know behind you who will keep a safe distance for you, that would be fine. Thats what we did the last time I was pregnant. And make sure you eat without guilt! Think of the walking you'll be doing for exercise. Drink lots of water. I really enjoyed going while pregnant even though I couldn't ride. I did a lot of people watching and really focused on my kids. It's great. |
