Well, that's a big topic for debate whether or not Walt actually came up with Mickey Mouse.  Disney lore says that on that train ride back, Walt designed Mortimer, who was renamed Mickey by his wife Lillian.  I would love this to be true....

But I tend to believe that Ub Iwerks did this, while working for Disney, after Walt had arrived back from the trip with Universal in NYC.  (Walt had managed to save Ub's from going to Universal after his other animators left).   Walt and Ub actually took billing together on the first of the cartoons, but it soon came that Mickey became popular, and Iwerks opened a studio under his own name (competing with Disney), about 1 year later.  This in itself says something about the creation of Mickey, and they probably had a falling out over the whole incident.

Ok, when the first "E" ticket was available at Disneyland in June 1959, how much did it cost, and how many different attractions could it be used on?

So, instead of a day pass you bought a ticket per ride?  Like a carnival?  Hm!

And I too like the story of Walt creating Mortimer and his wife renaming him Mickey!!!

Clueless, I would say I will watch the movie, but I can't find our copy. I thought I had bought it. Although I think it's being released again in October.
