Hey all! I'm a mom from NJ and I'm booking a trip to Orlando. My son's birthday is coming up and he LOVES the Nickelodeon channel. I thought the Nick Hotel would be perfect for him! I heard the Nick Hotel is currently running a special where you can get a nights stay free if it is the guest's birthday. Has anyone heard anything about this, or taken advantage of this package? Thanks!

I have not heard about this package, but we did stay there before it became the Nick Hotel....it was a Family Holiday Inn. We loved the layout of the rooms; it was nice to have a little kitchen. The pools were very nice and everything was super clean.

The only reason we've not returned was that the cost went up quite a bit, and they eliminated the wonderful and free hot breakfast buffet.

The location is great! You'll be very close to the WDW entrance and close to grocery stores, etc.

Welcome to the DML boards! Please let us know if we can be of any further help with your planning!

Sounds great - and I am going to move this post to the WDW forum!  You will get more replies there NFL - and welcome to the DML message boards!

Can't tell you about the hotel inside but it looks great from the outside, we passed it a number of times, usually as we were lost trying to get somewhere else.

My two year old loved looking at all the character pictures on the buildings.

If you end up staying there you'll have to give us a full review!!!  We thought about doing the Nick cruise (cause Disney's is just too expensive) but decided it was too expensive too!  I'd love to hear how they treat you (do they measure up to Disney??? doubt it!)!
