What's the low down on this option?  I purchased this today for Friday (12/12) 10:30 show. Dan

Sorry, I can't help you here!  I remember there used to be a roped off area with folding chairs set up for this...but it was 5 years ago.  Tink will be able to answer that for you though!!!

Yep - thanks for starting the topic Dan.

Okay you have tickets for the 10:30 show.  When you made your reservation did they tell you what time to check in?

I am asking because you are seated in the order you CHECK IN, not the order you purchase your tickets.

For the 10:30 show you can check in as early as 7pm when they open check-in for the 9pm show!  You just need one family member there to check you in, and once you are checked in they will tell you what time to return.

If you do end up in the second row, it is no big deal, you will still be able to see because there are only 2 rows, so you can sit on your knees or even stand if you need a better vantage point.

Once you are seated they will take your drink order - soft drinks, hot cocoa (very hot), coffee and water.  They will also bring your dessert box.  Inside you will have chocolate covered strawberries, macaroons, butter cookies dipped in chocolate (sorry, can't remember what they are called) and a few other goodies.

Now, you will be checking in right below the Haunted Mansion.  There is a churro stand near there.  Check with the cast member for the EXACT location.  If I remember correctly it was buy a large tree at the top of a staircase last year.  Should be in the same location, but the churro cast member will be able to verify it so you are in the right spot.

Another thing you need to know.  Even if it is a warm night, take a jacket.  The mist from the water screens makes it very cold when you are that close!

And now I have a question for you:  how much were the tickets this year?  I am wondering if they went up from last year or not so I can update our website.

The tickets were $59 each even for Calvin, I thought that was a little high but I willing to pay and decide after what it is worth. The tickets for the Discover the Magic Tour was also $59 each with $10 off for Calvin. Thanks for the tip about checking in at 7PM, I will do that for sure. I was going to try and see the fireworks at 9:25PM, is there enough time to go to the castle for the fireworks and back to Riverside for Fantasmic? or is they somewhere you can recommend to view the fireworks that would be closer?. Thanks for all the help this site has been a tremedous asset. Dan

Dan - I would recommend watching fireworks from New Orleans Square.  Because of crowd control, it will be very difficult to make it back to the area for your Fantasmic! seating if you watch from Main Street.

By the time you go, it will be Believe....in Holiday Magic, so the Sleeping Beauty Castle effects are much lower and not dramatic enough to worry about being there for the show!

I was considering this, but $59 and there's 6 of us....Well maybe the baby wont count!  I don't know, thats pretty spendy.  I know it would be awesome, though.

Children under 3 don't count!  Enjoy it while they are free.
