Effective January 3, 2007 making your reservation with AAA and staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels will no longer give you the exclusive enhanced Fastpasses. This was a decision made by Disney, who decided after 5 years that enhanced Fastpasses through AAA would be eliminated. After speaking with a representative from AAA who believes this is a big mistake that will upset many people, I was able to discern that there are new exclusive items Disney is setting up for those that use AAA to replace the enhanced Fastpass option.

New for 2007 you will get several special treats for making your Disneyland Resort reservations with AAA and Walt Disney Travel Company. You don't have to stay in one of the three Disney Hotels to get these benefits, so all who use AAA Travel to make those Disneyland Resort reservations can get these new items.
As usual, each reservation through AAA Travel will get free parking at the three Resort Hotels, the AAA Diamond Card, the collectible pin and lanyard (one per person) and one luggage tag per person. Also a standard inclusion in the packages is one early entry and one entry into Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness.
New for 2007 will be priority viewing at the first showing of 'Turtle Talk with Crush' at Disney's California Adventure. This special seating is valid on any day of your trip, and park admission is required.
The biggest surprise this year, aside from the fact that the enhanced Fastpasses are no longer offered is the inclusion of two new collectible items. The first souvenir is a Disneyland Resort Park Hopper souvenir ticket. This is a wallet-sized collectible card that will also double as your park hopper for this trip. Made of hard plastic it will be a great reminder of your trip once you get back home.
The other souvenir you will get when making your reservations through AAA Travel and Walt Disney Travel Company will be a 'Dream Coin'. This is a special 'coin' that is sprinkled with pixie dust for another special reminder of your trip.
Unlike the enhanced Fastpasses, these new souvenirs are tangible items that you can bring home with you after your wonderful Disneyland Resort Vacation.
Don't forget also that using AAA gives you a discount on most of the good neighbor hotels as well as the three Disney owned hotels at the Disneyland Resort.
