Photopass Special Picture Effects

Photopass is a fantastic way to have family pictures taken at the Disneyland Resort in California.  If you have eaten at Goofy’s Kitchen you have seen a Photopass Photographer right outside the restaurant.  If you have visited Mickey Mouse in ToonTown you have seen one.  These people will take your picture, and give you a Photopass card.  Each successive time you have a picture taken simply give the photographer the card and they will scan it to add the current photo.

What you may not know is that many of these photographers can add a special effect to your picture.  For example they can show you holding Tinker Bell in your hand or Fighting Captain Hook.

This is not a complete list of all of the Photopass Photographers at the Disneyland Resort.  This is a list of photographers that can add that special effect, and what that effect is.  I will be constantly adding to this list, so if you find a photographer that can add an effect I don’t have listed here, please send an email to let me know where that photographer can be found, and what the effect is that he/she can add to your photos!

These are the locations and effects that can be added to pictures taken at Disneyland (listed by land).  Be sure to ask the photographer to add an effect for you.

Entrance/Main Street:

Near the flag pole on Main Street with Main Street in the background, the photographer can make it look like you are holding Tinker Bell.

At the Partners Statue they can add two effects.  One is a panoramic shot with the Partners Statue and SleepingBeautyCastle behind you.  The other is having you ‘hold’ Tinker Bell.

In front of SleepingBeautyCastle the photographer can put the Castle in your background, closer up with no people other than your family in the background.

Tomorrowland:

In front of the Star Trader the photographer can add the effect of you fighting with Darth Vader.

In front of Nemo the photographer can add a seagull to the top of your head, or show you in a sub marine looking out at swimming fish.

Rivers of America/New Orleans Square:

At the Pirates Lair on TomSawyerIsland, the photographer can add the effect of you fighting Captain Hook.

From the Rivers of America facing the Pirates Lair you can be fighting Captain Hook in your picture.

In front of the HauntedMansion the photographer can add a hitch hiking ghost.

There are also several places where photographers can add a special effect at Disney’s California Adventure.

Entrance/Sun Plaza:

In front of the Golden GateBridge the photographer can add Stitch popping up from the pavement.

Also in front of Greetings From California the Stitch effect can be added.

Sitting on the benches at the entrance they can add Stitch sitting next to you eating an ice cream cone.

Hollywood Backlot:

The Stitch effect can be added to pictures taken near the Tower of Terror.

Condor Flats:

For pictures taken near Soarin’ Over California, the photographer can add Mickey and his friends flying overhead on their own hang glider.
