Sailing Ship Columbia

Wheelchair Transfer Detail
Guests in wheelchairs should proceed to the exit gate to the left of the dock and contact a Cast Member for boarding instructions. Guests must negotiate a steep series of stairs when boarding and disembarking the ship.
Sailing Ship Columbia Description
The Columbia is a full-scale replica of the ‘Gem of the Ocean’, a ten-gun, three-masted sailing ship. This ship has a steel hull with a deck of Douglas fir planks. You can also go below deck on the Columbia where you will find a maritime museum depicting the live sailors lived on this vessel many years ago. Included are the ship’s log, and letters between the captain and the ships owners.
The Columbia only operates in high season, or on very busy days. Many times you will see it docked at Fowler’s Harbor, across from the HauntedMansion.
The queue for this attraction is the loading dock. When you arrive at the dock, a cast member should be able to tell you when the Columbia is due back in the dock. If you are in that area, you should be able to make the next turn around TomSawyerIsland.
Your ride on the Columbia is a very relaxing 15 minutes of peace.
