For those of you planning a vacation to the Disneyland Resort here is what our September 2007 trip cost. We tried to do this cheaply, and thought that others would appreciate having this information to help figure out what expenses there are on a daily basis. I also included what we paid because of our Annual Passes, and what the trip would have cost without the AP’s.

What our September Disneyland Trip Cost:
General Expenses:
Airline Tickets from Denver to JohnWayneAirport: $716.40 ($238.80 per person/3 people)
Lunch at DenverAirport with drinks: $55.00 including tip.
4-day park hoppers: $0.00 because we have Annual Passes (Would have been $179 per adults, $149 for Alex)
Grocery Shopping in Anaheim - $34.66 for 10 waters, 18 pack of beer, 5 cokes and 2 power aids

*That $180.00 park hopper total is figured this way. On our trip in May, we upgraded our 5 day park hopper tickets. The adult park hopper cost was $189.00 per ticket and the child cost was $159. A Disneyland Annual Pass is $239.00.
For the adults to upgrade to the Disneyland AP the cost was $50.00 per ticket.
For the child to upgrade to the Disneyland AP the cost was $80.00.
Since we paid that money in May, we did add it to our total expenses for this trip. On our next trip though, there will be no charge for us for Park Hopper tickets or the Annual Passes. This trip completely paid for them.
Two things are very clear here. If you have a Disneyland Annual Pass, the AP rate at the hotels (when offered) can save a great deal of money. Secondly, the cost to enter the park is obviously much less with an Annual Pass for the Disneyland Resort.
