General Information:

 

Off-Season Hours begin on Monday January 7^th.

 

Fantasmic! will be shown once a day at 7:30 until Friday when it begins the normal 2 shows per night for the weekend.

 

Fireworks:  Remember…..Dreams Come True will be shown on weekends only starting on Friday the 11^th.

 

At California Adventure, Disney’s Electrical Parade will only be shown on Friday January 11^th through Sunday January 13^th.

 

The days of the week for early entry have changed, effective January 5th.  Now early entry will be called Magical Mornings and is offered on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

 

 

California Adventures 5 year plan:

 

Work on Toy Story Mania, the first part of the 5 year plan will continue over the next 6 months until Toy Story Mania opens this summer.

 

Also in the works for California Adventure:

 

Cars Land is set to debut in 2011.  Right now, indications are shown that this area will have an attraction set in Radiator Springs that is comparable to Test Track at Walt Disney World.

 

Moving the California Adventure entrance has been in the buzz this past week.  Yes, this is true.  As part of the 5 year plan, this entrance will be moved over near where the old “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” building sits empty.

 

The ‘World of Color’ water show will begin on the lagoon sometime in 2009.  At this time it looks like that show will showcase past Disney movies.

 

The Little Mermaid ride will also be coming but not official date is set for this attraction yet.

 

California Adventure has already removed some Paradise Pier attractions due to the building of Toy Story Mania.  Word is now on the street that there will be other attractions removed, such as Maliboomer, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Burger Invasion and the S. S. Rustworthy.  A reworking of Mulholland Madness to change the theme of the ride has also been mentioned.

Ride Closures:

 

At California Adventure:

 

Monster’s, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue remains closed until February 14^th.

 

Pizza Oom Mow Mow will be closed beginning January 7^th.

 

Monday January 14^th, Grizzly River Run will be closed for refurbishment.

 

At Disneyland:

 

Haunted Mansion closes on Monday January 7^th to remove the Holiday overlay.  Haunted Mansion is currently scheduled to reopen on January 25^th.

 

‘it’s a small world’ will be closed beginning January 22^nd for a very extensive refurb that will continue into November of this year.

 

Monday January 14^th:  Gibson Girl Ice Cream and the Mark Twain will be closed for refurbishment.
