Disneyland Characters Tips & Tricks
A special note about the Disney Princesses: They now have their own special character meal at Ariel's Grotto. Since the Princesses do rotate, the same ones are not there every day, I will give a list here of the possible Princesses you will see at this meal.. Below, where it is mentioned where you can see each on individually, I will not mention the breakfast again. At the character meal you could possibly see: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Jasmine and Ariel. In addition to their own character meal, the Princesses also take turns greeting guests at Goofy's Kitchen.
Princesses can also be found at the Princess Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland. Here your children can dress like a character, dance with them, hear stories and get photo's and autographs.
The Mickey Mouse flowers you see immediately upon entering the gates of Disneyland is a place where you will often see characters, throughout the day to greet guests as they enter the park. These characters will pose for pictures, and sign autographs.
A special note regarding the characters from the movie Alice in Wonderland who are often seen in and around Fantasyland. Sometimes, you will see many of the characters together, performing a skit, while other times it may just be Alice and the Mad Hatter, for example. If you are searching for them, definitely start in Fantasyland, and move toward Town Square in Main Street. Look for these characters on the Fantasyland attractions, especially King Arthur's Carousel.
Goofy and Pluto can always be seen at Goofy's Kitchen. In addition, you will usually have at least 1 Disney Princess, and 2 other characters. Some characters seen at Goofy's Kitchen on occasion are: Max, Baloo, Rafiki, Genie, Aladdin, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Donald Duck, Prince Phillip, Pocahontas, and even occasionally Minnie Mouse.
Lightning McQueen and Mater (from the movie Cars) can be found in Condor Flats directly across from Soarin' Over California. Unlike their previous meet and greet, here they stay with engines off and are available to take pictures with from all day long in California Adventure. They are expected to remain at this location through January 2008.
