Disneyland Wheelchair & ECV Information

Renting Scooters and wheelchairs at Disneyland

A Disneyland Scooter rental is $50.00 a day and does require a refundable deposit and a valid drivers license. You Must be 18 or over to rent an ECV. You cannot take rented ECVs between parks. If you wish toD switch parks you must turn in your ECV in the park you are leaving and pick up a new one in the other park.  You will not have to pay again but it is not guaranteed that an ECV will be available in the other park.

Wheelchair is $12.00 a day and does require a deposit (as of January 2020).

No Wheelchair or ECV rental is available in Downtown Disney.

Unlike Walt Disney World where it is challenging to use the Disney transportation with and ECV it makes sense to  rent an ECV from an outside company while vacationing at Disneyland if you will be attending more than a day or two. It is cheaper and you will be able to use the ECV between theme parks, downtown Disney and your hotel.

Renting a ECV from an outside company at Disneyland

In the past when you rented a ECV from an outside company they would deliver it to the bell desk the morning of your arrival day and you could leave it at the bell desk when you checked out.  That is no longer true at the 3 Disney Hotels. (Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel).  Disney has partnered with ONE scooter company and that company is the only one that can deliver and pick a ECV without you being present.  That company is ScooterBug. If you are staying at a Disney Hotel and use any other scooter company you must arrange a drop off and pick up time with the company.

The policies will vary if  you stay at a non-Disney hotel.  In the past we've never had any problems having the ECV delivered to the bell desks but with more and more scooters being used every year it is best that you call your hotel and ask about their policy.  The good news is that the scooter companies are very used to delivering ECVs to the Disney area hotels so they are pretty good at dropping off and picking up ECVs at a specific time.
