  • You have complete control of where you stay, and for how long.
  • You can purchase a single day ticket, or a 3, 4, or 5 day Park Hopper.
  • With a 3-day or higher Park Hopper, you still get Early Entry for one day during your stay.
  • Your hotel will probably be less expensive.
  • No vouchers to lose.
  • Easier if you want to divide your vacation into different hotels around California.

  • Con's
  • No Mickey's Morning Madness.
  • You pay for everything separately, instead of all at once before you even leave home.
  • You make several calls to various hotels, instead of one call to a travel agent, or Walt Disney Travel Company.

    Pro's
  • You can confirm your hotel, your park passes, and even your airfare with one phone call.
  • Mickey's Morning Madness.
  • Preferred seating at selected attractions in Disney's California Adventure.
  • Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard.
  • California fun book.
  • You can add Disney's Dining Plan to prepay meals.

  • Con's
  • You pay for items you may not want such as the pin and lanyard.
  • While the packages are pretty flexible it is not so easy to book 2 nights at Disneyland, and then hotels in other California cities.
  • Price can be higher for your selected hotel.
  • Penalties for changing or canceling your reservation.
  • Booking a Walt Disney Travel Company Package through AAA Travel

    Pro's
  • Unlimited Fastpass if you stay at the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier or Grand Californian Hotel. (Changed after 2006: 2007 Changed AAA Benefits)
  • If you are a AAA member AAA Travel offers package discounts.

  • Same as those for booking through Walt Disney Travel Company.
